Tree Stands, no. Bad idea because it's not something a Seal would use.
More climbable objects in a game, yes.
There's a lot of places in Socom 3 that look just the right height for any climbable object, but don't allow it. Like all the barrels, skids and crates on Citadel. Why can't I jump on those? Or Boneyard small, in the Terrorists spawn theres a cargo container with a ladder on it. You can climb the ladder to get on top of it, but right against it is a pile of skids that you can get on top of, but can't climb to the top of the container from.
its good but it would probably result in many glitches and noobs that would take advantages of the glitchs
I totally agree. Think how many skywalkers there would be if you start 5-10 feet off the ground. And how you would never be looking that high for your enemies, lol
I must say I laughed at the reference to deer hunting.
how about a map that is just a huge forest? nothing but ferns and trees? like blackwoods but no river or rocks. then a tree stand would be nice. have a ladder go up there like a tree fort.
make it snipers only and everyone has a M40A1 it would be like hunting
Forest idea,,sounds pretty cool. Daylight though...so its not the greatest camp for some. Hmmm the possibilities,, I really wish I had more Idea's at this moment to fill in for the Forest theme.

this seems to be a decent idea...(i know nothing about hunting) but it seems to me that a tree stand would be really heavy.... and could either a seal or terrorist carry this on their back? It seems very cumbersome to me and therefore would make it impossible to have in socom 3

Blackwoods is hard enough, constantly getting killed by silenced bushes. Now let's have a map where we can be killed my hills, bushes, trees, and other inanimate objects? I don't think so. It wound seem like a cool idea, but too many ghillie campers.
