Its kind of like the M14... In socom 2 lots and lots of people used it. But now its dead. Probably the size of the maps. I myself use the m14 and PMN mines!!! Im a classic kinda guy.
On FTB its the funniest thing when you play captive (teammates can revive other teamates) and plant PMN on an enemy dead body, then when someone goes to revive that person, they both go bang bang. We need captive so baad on S3. Those of you that play FTB should know what I'm talking about.

I thought M2 mines dont blow up when stepped on, only when run over by a vehicle?
Sometimes I used the claymores / M2 mines trap in respawns. Its espcially fun in Citadel. I set them all up in the courtyard between the 2 spawns and wait for 3 - 4 people to rush and usually get all of them.

They only blow up when a vehicle runs over them. However, you can shoot them with a high caliber rifle and they will detonate.

One really good spot for them is in the terrorist spawn point on Fault where they plant the bomb, riught where the river comes up to the ramp up to the area wher eyou plant. If you place a PMN mine on the corner right where water basically starts, i can tell you you';ll get an easy kill......not sure how many times you can do it..lol but i've had a kill eveyrtime i've placed one their.
Just make sure you call it out.....
