A while back my EGR class took a trip to FN here in Columbia. The first part of the tour was a conference session where they discussed all of the weapons they produced.... Come to think of it, they mentioned this particular weapon. I think they described it as something "a little more powerful than the M4". Pretty cool. Go FNH!

so the scar h is replacing the sr-25mk-11. hopefully thats only for sf,seals,etc if it's going to the marines,army,etc then the us military just wasted so much money

First, Its good to be back.

The scar wont be seen for a long time 2-3years at the least. Most Army/navy spec ops are useing hk 416 which are m4 with a better gas system.

Sweetness.... I was reading one of the supplied links, and guess what I found?

http://world.guns.ru/assault/as70-e.htm mentions that the FN SCAR-H will accept "battlefield pickup" AK-47 magazines. That's sweetness.

As for reliability, the article mentions it will be less sensitive to things like sand and dust than the M16-type weapons. That's good news too.

Lol... I laughed at the absurdity of the last sentence.
"Current prototypes of SCAR rifles do not have bayonet mounts, and, probably, will never have one."

I should hope so. When was the last time a war was fought with bayonets?
