M16A2 Tips How to Use

M16A2= I personally think its the best overall gun in the game..

practice in respawns ripping clips.. u should here nothing but gun shots no gaps any gaps in sound means bullets arent coming out.. bend ur pointed finger at half point use ur whole half end on the R1 button.. realize that when ur button isnt being pressed on u loose fire rate.. barely take ur finger off i mean barely maintaining almost constant pressure on the R1..

Short Range= rip ur clips b accurate.. i found dat decreasing turn speed can help ur accuracy if u cant control the crosshairs dont change it dramatically jus lil by lil till u find wat suits u..

Medium Range= Dont rip ur clip the M16 in S3 will go wild and loose its accuracy.. learn how to take slow burst.. burst a full burst jus one at a time.. learn to use precision and not bullets remember it only takes one headshot to kill someone..

Long Range= M16 is the anti-sniper rifle.. i was an everyday sniper so i can hop around hoping for a sniper to take a shot look his direction and while jumping zoom in twice with ur D-Pad and get a headshot b4 most snipers can hit me.. Practice using this technique dats if u want to b real sick at socom.. leaning over corners work but when u have a sniper looking right at u and u lean over a corner 90% of the time unless he is pure garbage u will die..

Good information in that post.

I imagine that it will take alot of practice learning to jump and zoom correctly. It would be a nice skill to learn.

Until I master it though, I'll stick with my trusty L-96 AW.

With the medium range subject, you could always zscope in and get a good shot.
But thats if you r a owner

m16 is the best gun in the game. rifle laser+red dot scope on it for mad accuracy, or in wide open maps use a high scope. bombest gun there is

A good combo that works for me:

M-16 A2 W/Red Dot Scope

P-226 Pistol W/Laser Attachment

I utilize the M-16 A2 on medium range targets, and switch to my pistol for close range engagments. It seems to work pretty good for me, although I have yet to try any "true" scope attachments on the rifle (I have a habit of trying to keep things as realistic as possible. 90% of all M-16 A2's issued to our troops will have a Red Dot attachment, or have a 4x Scope attachment. It's just how I like to play).

The m16 takes practice, you have to kinda get used to the scope going up and all, but you will get it. You have to be really wuick and hit them on your first shot. If you dont get them first shot then your down. I recommend trying this in respawn small harvestor, there are a lot of snipers that you can practice on :D

I never use red dot scope. What are you supposed to do when they are far away? Sit and watch? I always need a Med Scope or higher. Most of my clanmates probably never saw me with a gun that doesn't have a high scope attached to it. I own.

The red dot is only gun when you are messing around in a respawn or something. Play in red dot the whole game, its pretty challenging.
