I've been using the M-16 with a Medium Scope and nothing else for the past week.
Even at somewhat close ranges, you can zoom in on the target, and start bursting the **** out of him. The cross-hairs do not recoil (in fact, sometimes they will recoil down a little bit). I've taken out mutiple people in vehicles firing my M-16 this way.
Awesome weapon. Just like in real life.
