I'm assuming because head shots give you more points towards rank.

(this is my tip so you can use a sniper at close range if your skilled with it) always lead the target if it is moving. try aimming for the head. if you are proning and have a bipod your rifle will not recoil so it is easier to get another shot at the target without losing sight of him from the recoil.
I disagree with your post. If you have the M87/M82 then why aim for the head? It's just a smaller target that's harder to it. My advice would to be aim for the chest with those guns.
right, aim for center of mass, its easyer to hit, i dont use teh big 50 though, thats not my job.

ok people i am not tryin to be rude but theese are tips alright so i will give you a tip

--People plz do not use the m14 if you are just learning how to snipe! because of the range. The range on a normal assualt rifle is 95 m but the m16 n m14 are 115m so everyone thinks "Hey lets put a high scope on it i can snipe!" lol i wouldn't recomend it unless you knwow hat your doing. Besides come on what fun is it to snipe if you can go fully auto? Also true snipers shouldn't let people get that close!!!!

But what if they aren't a true sniper? Maybe they just wanted a gun that has

range as well as an automatic option incase they decide to change their mind

in the middle of the round? Thats something to take into consideration b/c

I don't care how good you are, if 4 enemys storm on your spot, unless you

are a god with your sidearm, you are gonna wish you had that M14 right then

because you could have just mowwed them down and went right back to

single shot to snipe the other tangos running to take you out.

I dont use the M87 or the M82 anymore since they started putting the L96 in the game. The L96 is alot lighter and can kill in one shot if u hit them in the right areas of the chest. Ive done it many times. There was even a time where i shot 1 in his upper thigh and he died, (not sure if he was wounded or not). Another reason i use the L96 is it is a hell of alot more accurate then the big OSOKs. But if u are just starting out in sniping i do suggest the OSOKs, more experienced snipers like my self know where to hit the target in the chest to get a kill with the L96. Also if u perfer the M4OA1 that is also a good, light, accurate sniper rifle. But i perfer the L96. Thats my 2 cents.

Isn't that what claymores/mines are for?

Just curious, how is it "a lot more accurate than the big OSOKs"? They are all single shot, with unlimited range, so where the crosshairs are when you fire is where the bullet goes.

Do you mean that there is less bobb when you scope in, meaning it steadies quicker because it is lighter?

I still love the M87, best sound.
