Ok what do you expect them to do. Try to fight you while your prone and they will probably lose so I dont see anything wrong with people using grenades. Hell you deserve to be fraged with a 203 or an GL. And one shot one kill guns are great shure thir loud but when you take a shot your suppose to move and not camp.

The M87/ M82 are the best to use for sniping in my opinion. I never lie down and snipe, only about 5% of the time. I always use my scope to check areas and then snipe people I see while crouching and strafing. This works with the SR/SASR as well as long as you aim for the head (easy for me).

i think that the best sniping tactic is using smoke. sounds like it wouldnt do anything, but smoke actually helps me snipe the best. it doesnt have any weight to it, so dont worry about a big load. also, if you throw the smoke close to you, you can zoom and see right through it, while the other person cant see you at all. really helps a lot for sniping in areas in the open. works really good for sniping only rooms too. i suggest to use the m87 or m82 they work the best. also, nvr stay in one spot for too long, after every shot, try to find a new sniping position. thats pretty much all the tips i have for sniping.

i totally agree with this nice job guys. But im not sure if someone said this but sont try to be stealthy by camping wiith a m87/ m82 especially proning. When you shoot your muzzle flash gives you away everytime.

Ok the reason i started this is to help all the new people in the quick sniping world.
Ok first some things you might need to know:


1) Their is two MAJOR types of Quick Sniping
- Index
- Jump Sniping
2) Index
- IMO easier.
- More effective.
3) Jump Sniping
- Harder
- More fun IMO.
Now their is WAY more that goes into it but i dont want to list it all right now. Now i can say personally that i love Jump Sniping because thats what i do.
And i know OTTER mostly uses the technique of index(No Disrespect). So i can give you guys the low down on Jump Sniping but i cant really on index. I can explain it to you but OTTER can explain it more if he would like.

NOW one thing i will say right now is alot of quick snipers like to quit because they meet someone that is better than them. And alot of them quit it because they are not the best at it right away.

PRACTICE!! Any good quick sniper will say the same thing Practice is key just like a sport practice makes perfect!

okay here's my two cents on this...


-Indexing

More effective and when versing another quicksniper you can easily kill them when they jump, index them right when they land. You can line up your shot better when on foot instead of in mid-air. it's quicker then jumpsniping due to you already on the ground. The way to index is either using your thumb or index and scope in really fast then scope back out and in that time get a shot off.

-Jumpsniping

Jumpsniping is getting quite common on Socom 3 now due to everyone hasFinallygotten the hang of it. It isn't as effective as jumpsniping but is more visually pleasing and is much more funner in many peoples opinions. THe downside to jumpsniping is when i close quarters against a gunner you have to line up your scope perfectly especially when using a highscope, and make your shot count. Jumpsniping is very effective over long range because if you miss you can easily line your target up again and take another. Jumpsniping is simply just a jump, scope in, scope out, land.

Hmm I didnt really get indexing after a read abit. But now i got it.

I am kinda both types of that. But mostly Index sniper.
Jumping in mid-air and killing someone is just plain awe. ;-)
