Congratulations on making an awesome guide for all us SOCOM fans. Looks like you [SS] guys beat socom3.com to it. I just have a few questions:
Is this guide going to be under a specific brand name? Also, should all major game stores carry this, and what's the retail price?

Its hte "Official" one, its the only one you can get from gamestop, ebgames etc..
as for publisher..

Would you look at how slick this book looks? Wow, I wasn't going to get a SOCOM 3 guide book before because I like beating games on my own. After hearing that this time around, we had actual SOCOM fans create it, I'm definitly buying it. Plus you guys made maps for us, god damn, I am really excited to get this next Monday. Thanks [SS] and thanks PiggybackInteractive.

Yes, they did beat us to it. But ours will be something that is ongoing, and thus will include the new strategies that come up. It looks amazing SS and I congratulate you guys. Real inspiration to all of us at www.Socom3.com, especially the Strategy Guide Crew.
BTW Rator does you offer about your S3 tac maps still apply?

Haha thats awesome that you guys got to be such a big part of S3. I trust that this guide will actually have helpful hints and such besides the maps unlike some other game guides, which are just the manuals with a bunch of useless junk.

One can only hope....lol. But we did put a lot of work, and yes we have listen to the community. I think this is going to change the whole way the gaming industry looks at making guides. In the past it was either the programers themselves or someone that really didn't even play the game. This time, there might be some ryme and reason to not only the book...but the game. I mean....Sony has everything ridding on there baby (SOCOM) to take off this Holiday Season!

Hey guys, you guys can use the S1 and 2 maps on your site (with permissions) etc, but not the S3 ones. They will only be available in the guide. They may let us post a few up here and there every few months, but i will only be able to show thumbnails of them on the site. The guide IS awesome i have to say, its printed really nice and looks great. We put a lot of work into it and a lot of ourselves too.
I want to apologize to anyone who may be pissed of at us for posting this. We didnt even become aware of your guys guide project until a couple of weeks ago at which point we were almost done with the official one. So, sorry for any hard feelings. Just wanted to let everyone know what we've been up to.

I’m a little confused. After seeing that this Guide is the official guide you can get in EB and Gamespot and whatnot, I checked EBGames.com for the product information, and the guide they hve listed there says it’s from Prima Games rather than piggyback interactive. That’s why I’m confused. I would love to get this strategy guide because I’ve loves the quality of [SS]‘s maps in previous games, but like hell am I going online to buy it.
Edit: The Release Dates for the two also differ,(one says 10/4(!) the other says 10/11) but the covers seem to be the same (even the litle pink thing in the lower corner.....now I’m just just plain confused.)

Makes sense, seeing that it's published.
I guess we'll see maps based on your guys' maps. I know my clan redid your s2 ones, removing the pretty textures and such.
Anyway, quick question for [SS]: Did you guys get anything other than bragging rights for doing this? Free copy of the guide/socom 3? Limited edition PS2 controllers with nipples painted on the L3/R3 joysticks?
