Can they be put on any gun? If so, why doesn't everyone use them? Is there a disadvantage?

The effect of a suppressor is that it slows the bullet down so as there is no crack when it goes supersonis, reducing velocity, penetration and in most cases damage

No, it really makes the gun weaker. Look at the M4A1 in SOCOM II. It's a pretty strong gun on it's own. The M4A1 SD is a good gun, but you have to admit that it seems weaker than the regular M4A1.

Yes i do know that. But i doubt the thing that you can hear it go through the supersonic crap ***. Not english so i suck at it.

It slows down the bullet i guess, but not that much i think. It has more 2 do with just good demping of sound (reducing).

No, it does reduce the velocity ALOT, or else every soldier would have one...

There are many sounds when a gun fires, but the two biggest are: The propellant exploding thus sending the bullet hurtling on it's way and the subsequent crack as it goes past the speed of sound... the suppressor eliminates this sound to the best of it's abilities, but cannot get rid of it wholly, so stop calling it a silencer

Yes a 'suppressor' has its advantages and disadvantages, one it will greatly reduce the noise that comes from your gun, but it also it can make your weapon a little less effective.

I dont know why they are allowing the suppresion of all the guns...hopefully all the bullet firing guns.. God forbid a suppresed M3 .. But I dont think they should have them on all of the weapons, especially not the M8's.

Wow i remeber why i stoped posting things on here...CAUSE OF IDOITS LIKE THIS. I would love if people would stop being stupid for 2 seconds. In a few articles that i have read they (Zipper) have said they wont have any huge one sided guns like the IWs. Also, there are a few of you that think the that u can put a "silencer" on every gun. Somebody asked about a M3 silencer. NO U IDIOT! When u pick your gun it is going to be one of those things that after u put the "silencer" on it will lower the power of your gun. NOT EVERYONE WILL <censored> USE IT. I don't know why, but people that have no idea about what they are talking about piss me off. I think that half of the people that type anything on this thread are just trying to sound smart adn actually have no idea what they are saying.

The noise is the bullet exploding sending the bullets flying, but how fast do you think a bullet goes? 50 miles an hour? Easy to dodge, so it has to go fast seeing as the explosion from gunpowder propels it fast. Surpressers slow the **** out of the bullets.
