Dude, my god... the whole point of a suppressor is to make the gun quite if the suppressor does not slow down the bullet, the "crack" of the bullet when it goes supersonic would be extremely loud, thus, making the suppressor USELESS

Its going to be difficult to find the enemy if they are hiding in the brush and two or three of them are shooting at you at once. You will have no idea where to shoot until your dead.

I'm pretty sure you can't put a supressor on anything. To the people taht said they saw m14sds and m16sds, tell me where and give me a game link and I'll believe you. Until then, no chance.

im sorry to be the bringer of bad news, but have you ever looked inside of a silencer and seen how it works? they make the gun marginally less acurate, not more accurate. they also strip away bits of the bullet, sometimes giving it a spiral path as it isunbalanced. subsonic ammunition is much less powerful than regular amunition, it goes about half the speed, even adding weight to the bullet still results in a less powerful, less accurate, and shorter ranged projectile. also, the only gun where you hear the (click clack) of the slide and the whiz of a bullet is the russian sp handguns, they have a range less than a paintball gun and just enough power to get through someones head at 30 feet, toehr than that its uselss, if youve fired a suppresed gun in real life you know what it sounds liek, a pnumatic nail gun. its still around 100 decibles. all a suppresor truly does for most guns is make it sound less liek a gun, lower the deicbles a bit, and hide the flash. take the sr25, double the volume, and thats what a m4sd really sounds like. you guys are all speaking from game knowledge and not real knowledge. i hope they fix this in socom 3 so that the "silenced" guns arent just whizzes of bullets

go to ign.com and look at video 4.. it shows a person gettin sniped with a silenced m16.

LMAO silenced M3.. why would you need a silenced m3. if you are shooting someone they are 5 feet away they will see you anyways.

I'm sorry if I confused anybody, Im talking about real life...

When I say you can put a silencer on anythig, I dont mean you wont hear the gun at all. Most silencers only silence a rifle by 30db. A good silencer on a M4 will bring it down to the 140db range. Is the gun still load, yes. So why put a silencer on a gun. A silencer reduces recoil, makes the gun report soud farther away that it actully is, and gets rid of muzzle flash. So at night time, the enemy cant see you, they can only hear you. In Black Hawck Down, one of the Delta snipers was using a M14sd. I know this could just be hollywood magic. And you are right the bullet will still make a sonic boom. But on a good silecer, range and accuracy are not affected. For a video game though it has to be, for gameplay. But a bad silecer will hurt accuracy and range.

just to agree with him^^ and to include something extra, the silencer/supressor/flash hider doesnt take away the supersonic crack, the ammunition does, this is why sd guns are weaker, lower powered amunition. and on seeing someones post at the beginngin about dodging 50mph bullets, socom bullets only travel about 500fps. (tracer speed, bullets actually go the speed of light but wtvr, small inconsistency) from playing paintball, i know you can not only see, but react to and dodge a 300fps projectile from about 100 ft. just a halfway interesting thing to think about when watching a 9 sub kill from 100 ft. 9mm bullets are just over supersonic, and after a few hundred feet are slow enough to see...
