This is the RPK-74
It's a machine gun yes thats is what RPK stands for ATK most likely stands for Avtomat "No clue what the T would stand for" Kolasnikov if that dosnt answer what your asking I have no clue what the hell you were asking.

yeah well zipper has an agenda for ****ing with the names of guns, for example the SASR is actually a Dragunov and the IW is SA-80 IW A2
and the M60E3 is the M60 MK. 42 the light weight M60 used by special
forces, or SOCOM as they are called

I belive they use the name AK-47 becuase were not really useing the "AK-47" the last true AK-47 was made in the 50's Since the 50's Kolasnikov started replaceing all the AK-47s with AKM-47's. The M stands for modernized. So technaclly there not the same gun. But everyone still calls it an AK-47 with out the M.

THE AKS-74 is also part of the newer AK. :)

The 74 is a new branch of small arms centered around the 5.45 calliber. But internally there almost identical to the AKM so you could say that.

sweet haha, man you army guys have tons of stories to tell. It's too bad there isn't a thing where you could go and just tell stories, maybe like a radio station, and let the world know the real deal. Of course you would probably have to volunteer or you would be asked very nicely because I know war can be brutal to the mind (and body).
Anyways back on topic, yes I hope they have improved the ak's alot because in real life they are more accurate, or so I've heard. It's not our fault the people don't aim when they shoot! I've heard lotsa stories about that lol. People peeing while they are being shot at and such. I can't wait to see how the AK's will be in S3!
