I am for the M14.

1. It is a SEAL gun and a Terrorist gun. Therefore, both teams can indeed use this gun against each other.

2. I agree that it is a spray and pray gun, BUT a more accurate gun can take this one down. The M16 can take someone down in 3 shots. The m14 is two. But from a distance, its a little harder to kill them.

3. The gun shoots so fast, that inless your crosshairs are targeted at the enemy, you are gonna have to reload and thats when the M16 has an advantage.

4. The recoil is bad. Inless you aim low and let the recoil help you, you arent gonna kill squat.

The M14 is on both sides, but when SEALs use it it's pathetic, they have all these amazing guns on their side and they still use the M14? It goes to show you how very little skill is involved in S2 nowadays.

The M16 can take down in 3 shots, yeah maybe, but the M16 cannot be used in all types of situations whereas the M14 can. Go into a full ...or even semi-full Fish Hook room, the M16 is sometimes damn near impossible to use.

Recoil is easy to control, for close quarters you will own the guy, long distance you just burst.

That's why the M14 is so great. It's perfect for every situation. I love the M14, and I still love it in the Beta. Oh, and just because you think the SEALs have all amazing guns, doesn't mean the guns are actually amazing. Maybe for you, but not for me. I can't use the AK-105, it fires too slow. The M4A1 SD is too weak for me, the HK5 SD is also too weak. I can't use the RA 14 for crap. I never use the M16 sucessfully, and the M60's are inacurate. That's why I'll use the M14, I use that gun the most out of any gun in the game.

If a SEAL takes an M4A1SD,and a terrorist takes an M14, here are the SEALs advantages advantages:

a)Invisible enemy due to silencer (can amp well if need be)
b)quite accurate, not the best but good
c)30 round clip, so less reloading
d) at one metre this gun either bayonets you with the silencer due to the bad programming or automatically aims at the head

SEAL disadvantage

a)less damage, three shot kill
b) I don't know... are there more?

Terrorist advantages

a)two shot kill
b) faster fire rate, but can be a problem due to small clip
c) recoil can help

Disadvantages

a) Reload many times
b) only 120 bullets, even with 2x ammo... not much, M4 has 180
c)have to look at ground so as fully auto fire will go up to SEAL's chest/head... not good

In summary, the M14 stays...

when I got the game which was like 1/2 months after it came out or somthing....but I hated the M14 cuz the recoil went off my tv it was crazy then I saw ppl were good at it...but I hated all guns exept the M4 sd cuz it was my favorite in Counter Strike....so i relied(sp?) on it and it was good but then I got my internet disconneted and there was a patch that fixed the glitches and fixed some guns too the recoil went down and every gun got too good or turned into **** so i liked the game before the patch cuz every thing was mostly even the M14 had bad recoil cuz if you look at old war or gun fights with it they used it with single shot or they died cuz it had bad recoil....But this whole banning thing...well maybe the IW cuz its basicly a one shot and very accurate and the M14 for SEALs not terroists cuz its almost their only hope....but when i use it it suck but I use the 552 or ak-74 cuz they are strong guns

The only time that I have a problem with the M14 is when the WHOLE team uses it. I just find that to be kinda pathetic. 8 guys have to use the M14 to get kills? Seems kinda sad to me. Terrorists have many good guns but seeing as how the skill level of most socom players is declining daily, you'd never know this.

Now as far as SEALs using it goes, I don't have a problem with it if the situation calls for it. Lag sometimes calls for them or if the entire terrorist team has them. I just don't understand why SEALs use them at the start of the first round.

Anyways, that's my view on the M14.

I dont really see what the big deal about the m14 is. For all i care even if its 8 on 8 everybody on both sides can use it. I usually use it more as a seal then a terrorist. And yeah the seals do have alot more better guns then the terrorists. I usually always start off with a m16 unless its real laggy but either way it kills in 2 shots which is less then any other gun so why not use it.

i'll like to say that i don't like the idea,keep banning weapons is not the way out,people should learn how to play first,those that agree with the banning need to learn how to use a sniper rifle or the SD.i do play in spain mostly and they banned the iW, and now the M14, please what next the shotgun or mines.stop that. ['L,]PELOTON favorites weapons:terror shotgun, sniper rifle,terror AKs,mines, seals only M4 without SD.LOL

First off don't ask why I'm snooping around the European forum....
Anyways, I don't think banning the M14 is neccesary, (I'm speaking from BACK when I played S2, lol sorry Eu players) anyways, I don't think it should be banned, but I do think people should try something else. In the s2 days, I would see entire clans completely dedicated to it, they swear by the M15 and live, sleep eat and die by it. I mean, yeah, it's a good gun, I won't moan about that, just learn to use something else. In S2 my fav. terr. weap was always me trusty AK, I barely ever used the M14. Maybe it's just me that's like this, but I have always had this urge to become good with a gun nobody else likes. For example, near the end of my S2 days I went through a phase of being completely addicted to the TA 12 guage for some reason, and I would use that in FishHook and defend the hostage room alone for hours on end. I also absolutely loved the M4A1SD, who doesn't, but I often used the HK5SD instead (I know that's not an unheard of gun, I just liked it because it was a little different) I also had a love of the pitiful 9mm Sub for awhile. (I actually sniped a guy on DG with it, zoomed in with binocs, aimed ahead of where he was running, zoomed out, 2 shots, 1 kill, lol).
