This topic is for everyone to post their wackiest, craziest, funnest, or just plain odd moments in Socom 3.

I just got my first one today. Servers went down so I decided to start a third playthrough on Admiral and ok so I blow up one of the Convoy trucks and thats way down the highway somewhere, the second one I shoot the 2 NAPFs inside and I have to get the trucks condition in the red in order for the objective to get completed. Then more NAPF resistance comes rolling down the road and I take the turret gunner out. Now im working on the driver (its kinda hard because I dont wanna get too close, i forgot my scope. Also, Ive found that when I get too close to someone driving a vehicle, they zoom off and run me over)

Anywho so im working on him from afar and for some stupid reason Jester starts shooting the not yet exploded Convoy truck. ALL FOUR OF US PLUS ONE OF THE TWO FRIENDLIES ARE RIGHT NEXT TO THE TRUCK. I stop shooting at the NAPF to order EVERYONE to cease fire and he still goes! Eventually the truck blows up and me and killjoy die yet Simple and Jester are still freaking alive and well mission over. Dumbest crap I've EVER seen in the 2 times i played through this game.

By the way, this didn't happen today, I posted this at another website and just coped and pasted. This happened Saturday night when everyone got booted from the Servers.

i was playing that 1 level on commander, where u have 2 secure the 3 outposts, and we were on our way 2 the third outpost, and i stopped 2 scope it out, and JESTER stops rite behind me, not an enemy in sight, and just shoots the hell out of my back and kills me. i was like, wtf, that sucked!!!!!

LMAO.... same kinda thing happened to me... Jester's dumba$$ threw a frag that bounced off the box in front of him and killed our whole squad lol

in the map where u have to secure 3 outposts. at the end where u have to paint the tank so airstrike can take it out. well i went to far on the road, past the buildings just to check things out and as i was turing round on foot the tank was allready like in the entrance to the buildings. but it was not moving forward more like its suposed to. it was moving back and forth like it was laging or w/e

so i try and run behind it and to the otherside so i could get in the area i need to be, and the damn tank backs all the way up over me. like it was messing with me and was waiting for me to walk behind it.

I was playing Brewed Chaos on Admiral, and as one terrorist was running past me, I sniped him in the head and ended up killing someone behind him. Being suprised, I yelled "BOOM HEADSHOT" into the mic, getting the lovely response along the lines of, "What the hell are you trying to say Specter?"

My most memorable offline experience..

Well, I'd been real busy with fiance/work/etc, so I haven't had too much for online play, so I decided like the third day just to play singleplayer, maybe unlock some stuff, well so I go to do it, turn it on Commander stead of Lt, then continue on, beating it in like a few hours, go to see what I unlocked, WHAM BAM, turns out my dumbass didn't even put it on commander, just thought I did...had to beat it again, so I've beat it four times(lt.com.cap.adm.) and then again on ad, lol..

another...in state security when u go thru the door and theres 2 windows and like 4 or 5 guys that run out, i got 3 of em with one M16 burst

BOOM HEADSHOT lol Doug has made himself famous, no?

The only thing of significance I can think of, is how on commander and captain, first mission, destroying the convoy was easy, as they stopped and waited for death...then I start on admiral, I blow up first vehicle, and second vehicle just runs me down, lol MISSION FAILURE

Also to the one who said their story about the tank. A similar thing happened to me on the first mission the first time I tried doing it. The cargo trucks would just sit there, and so i thought it was ok to get a little closer than I was to take the terrorists out, so when I creep up close to the vehicle, they speed off running me over. So ruthless!

Ok, I was playing nightcrawler and I had positioned brovo on the overwatch thingy and I blew up the windmill. Then me, being as stupid as I am, run AROUND some huge rock, so I get to the house, go in, then while I'm in the middle of bugging the computer bravo is saying "their half way back," or somthing like that. I'm like "OH NOES THIS ISN'T HOW THE GUIDE SAID TO DO IT!" I ran out the back door (sniped dude gaurding the back before I went to windmill) then went to the front thing and got down behind the wall thats like waist hieght. The 2 guys went past me at like 5 ft. away. I waited a bit then got my pistol and got up. I checked a window and saw that 1 guy was sitting at the computer, and the other dude was infront of a door leading to the kitchen room where the phone is. I went to the back door (already open) and lean arond. I'm thinking to myself "Ok all I got to do is hit this dude in the head and sneak in and pop the other guy while he is on his computer." Now please note, that the first socom game I had ever played was socom 3, so I didn't know that the other guy would notice me killing this guy. So, I shoot the guy in the head and he moans. HOW CAN A GUY MOAN WHEN HE IS SUPOSE TO INSTANTLY DIE?! But anyways, I dropped him and I see the subtitles of the other guys talking. I was like "OH CRAP MUST KILL BEFORE MISSION FAILURE!" I ran in and right when I turned at the door way leading into the room with the computer I see the other guy. Me and him are at point blank range, like 1 foot away from eachother. I was so scared, I shot like 4 rounds into him. In the end I passed the mission :) I was happy :)
