the AI, i must say, is pretty crappy, when i set the command for Fire At Will, they stand there...shoot a couple people with like 10 enemies still standing their, and if they DO shoot, they suck balls at aiming >.<

Not so. They'll still kill you of you down a teammate, but not if you injure him. I killed Jester with C4 and Bravo shot me down.

well, if bravo is equipped with a mp5 and red dot, no they wont take out enemies to far away. They need scopes to identify longer range targets, and longer ranger weapons to hit them successfully.
So if you leave them at their default loadout, lots of time they'll get whatever gun with a red dot, or a sniper riffle with a low scope...
Try it.

They only thing i hate them for is getting stuck (hasnt happened that much to me tho) and when they shoot enemies through me. (kill me) But with the new checkpoint system, i must say it isnt as much of an inconvinience(sp?) to die.

on one of the africa levels i was in front of jester and bravo was right behind jester i stopped because i saw a car coming up and jester takes out an at4 and shoots me in the back with it and kills bravo with the backblast

I can't remember the mission name, but the one where you cross the swamp near the stilthouse (one bad guy on it) and get the native to talk to people (I think this is the level where you 'disrupt their communications') is hilarious. I left them at the riverbank and did my thing, then pointed them to an area right in the middle of the group with about 3 bad guys standing there. With 'fire when ready' clicked, I sat in the trees shaking my head as two of my guys died within about 30 seconds, and the third was down to just a sliver of red on his bar before I took over. Last night I was in one of the underground rooms with one bad guy, and my guys shot at him for about 60 seconds without taking him out. I simply stood up and fired, and down he went. I get really bored going through whole missions sniping every bad guy I see, but my guys can't be relied upon at all.

I'm not a gamer; I don't play online and I don't play single much, and so I don't have really high expectations. But the AI in this one sucks, sad to say. There were issues with it in Socom 2, but nothing like this. I could send Bravo across the map in 2 and know that while they may not find everyone, they'd kill everyone they ran into. In this one there's no way you could do that, they'd get wasted within two minutes.

yeah... i just beat the game on the hardest original setting. (commander) they never really shot as much as i did. on average i had 97% of the kills. but anyways, i do the next hardest setting, because i want the iw and stg, and the first level, i got killed by bravo twice. once, they ran me over. THEY FRIGGIN RAN ME OVER! i blew up all 3 trucks in the convoy, and he comes rolling around the hill after jester says "park behind the stupid rock" and they drive around it, and run me over. jester never shoots anybody w/fire at will on, when he's in the vehicles, and when i'm on harvester clearing that map to go get fatcat, i had to restart like 5 times because they dont shoot. sometimes they get a 3 kills w/3 bullets from the vehicle, then the next terrorist comes up, and i'll stop in the road and they wont even shoot at him. i turn the truck to the side so the terrorist will be in his line of site, and still nothing...also in the 1st map where they tell you to cross at the lake. the 1st time around i brought bravo w/me, cuz i didnt want them messing anything up, the second time, i decided to take the chicks suggestion on the headset, and post them at the entrance. but i thought hrm... mebbe a little too close, i'll put them at the road entrance 25 yards back. i was gonna put them on fire at will after i started flushing the guys out from the back, but apparently they decided to start shooting anyways before i even cross the lake. so now 3 trucks come rolling in, unload like 10 guys, and me and jester are sitting ducks...
