Stealth in S3 single player?
socom 2 single player: urban sweep. weapons: sr-25sd and mark 23 sd.

when the guy is trying to convince that guy in the blue hat to join the rafb, i love when he's talking to him about how he should join, i stealthfully lean around the corner and shoot the terrorist in the head. i walk up to the guy in the blue hat and it's like, "you know...it wouldnt be a good idea to join the rafb. now would it boy?." without actually saying it, and then continuing. i really like that stealthful feeling. in socom 3 they should put more things like that in the game.

being stealth and killing stealthfully is what makes socom socom to me. im really worried that in s3, it will just be driving vehicles around during the daytime shooting everywhere. in s1 it was really stealthful and i liked it a lot. real SEALs are stealth so i really hope they incorporate stealth into the game because that is what i like. i would really like it if they put an urban city level at midnight or a jungle level at midnight(like tears of the sun in the beginning when they pop out of the water). oh man i love stealth nighttime missions. nighttime missions were the best on the previous games and i'm just worried that this game will be all about big gunfights with vehicles in the daytime.

I am sure that big battles will be the result of being unstealthy. Zipper said there will be multiple paths to take, some probably being more stealthy than others, such as sneaking up a side trail overlooking a river instead of riding a boat up the river full blast. Zipper knows what works, and I trust them to do a good job.

lots of people love those stealthy nighttime maps. And zipper knows that. I'm sure they'll be a couple. I wouldn't mind seeing a singleplayer level where if the enemy fires once than its a mission failure. that would really force you to be stealthy.

Just find a group of players who play how you do and stick with them. I'm sure a majority (sp?) of the SOCOM III players will be straight forward players who get down to business and go for the objective. Then there willl a handful of players who rub thier nuts against the ground while lying prone in a bush waiting for an enemy to run by.

Online, I think the run+gun open fielded battles with hordes of men will make stealth all the more fun! Think about it, if everyone else is running around shooting loudass guns like morons at everything that moves, the player who chooses to hide in a bush with SDs will pwn everyone! IMO, the more unstealthy the majority of players get, the more effective the stealthy players become.

Great point Spookius, but also take in consideration that guns are no completely silenced anymore, they click instead of bang.
