Confrontation Already Lost To Cheaters?
In every game I play there is a person using codes or glitching. I cannot enjoy SOCOM with all the cheaters ruining it. I feel that some of the same people that got codes onto the PS2 SOCOMs will find a way to get them onto the PS3. Thus, SOCOM will belong to code users and glitchers and the makers of SOCOM will stop producing it. I see no reason why they can't block people using codes from SOCOM, games that are even more popular than SOCOM have very few cheaters. The cheaters have a large following and will do whatever it takes to ruin other people's game.

Use your brain a little before you start whinning on the forums. Homebrew isn't even available on the PS3 yet. *sigh* You can't have a cheat device if you can't even run your own code on a system. Next thing is the PS3 network is completly different from the ps2's more open network. Unfortunately(my opinion), your stuck using the same name and friendlist across all games. This can allow for you to be banned from the PS3 network completely if you get too many offenses on one particular game. Thats just speculation though. I don't actually know that they would do that.

I agree, you should be banned after being caught glitching the first time. And as for 'confrontation alredy being lost to cheaters' There is another devloper, rather than zipper, maintaning this game, so hopefully they will be much more dedicated than zipper was with banning, and moderating the game online

There's always going to be cheaters no matter what. The number of cheaters compared from game to game depends on one thing - game support. If this game has GOOD online support, there will be few cheaters. They'll actually get noticed and banned. A game that doesn't have good support will have more cheaters, because there's nothing to stop them and they go "unnoticed".

The cheaters will find a way, they don't care if they get banned. They will not stop until they've made playing unbearable for those who play legitamately. I've been to the codereality website, from what I've seen they don't care what happens to them as long as they get their kicks.

You can't keep thinking negative. You figure how SOCOM is online. Zipper Int., or the maker of the game, has to provide the support for their online game. Which means, Zipper takes care of their portion.
With the PS3 online, the makes of the game do partially take care of their game. However, with the added help of SONY, as a whole, cheating will be cut down.
To sum my jibbish up, cheating will happen on the PS3. Yet, I highly believe that more steps will be taken to ban and/or help prevent a majority of it to start with.

You're just like the people I disagree with who say we shouldn't have air strikes for the sole reason that someone would "figure out how to do a glitch and get infinite air strikes".
Going by this logic, we shouldn't have video games because someone will figure out a glitch to get infinite health.

I never stated Confrontation shouldn't be made, in fact I plan on buying it. Sometimes, you have to think about what you're saying and trying to make someone look bad so people will agree with you doesn't help. You should read Unkown Subject's post again, he knows what he's saying.

Thank you sir. Best compliment I've had in a while.
Like I stated above, people will find a why to cheat. When SOCOM 3 was out, it was fun to play. Yet, more and more people exploited the system and found ways to get the advantage.
PS3 online will have cheating, no doubt about it. I just see the light of them taking more steps to help stop it, or at least cut down on the amount that there is going around.
