Socom 3 Online?

I tried to go on Socom3 online today and I forgot I needed to switch memory units to download the update. So I switched them and downloaded the update and then it tells me that my PS2 needs to get reset.. No problem, so I hit "X" and it resets. When it comes back on I get an error message saying the that update "may be corrupted." I went to the browser, deleted the update and tried again, but it still gave me the same error message. I switched to my other memory unit and deleted my CA update and tried on that one, but it gave me the same error message.

Can anyone successfully download the S3 online update? If not anyone have any idea's as to what's going on?

You have to download it twice I think, so just overwrite the previous "corrupted" patch and voila (again, i think).

Usually when that happens the download takes like a second to download. It should take a little longer to download. Just keep downloading and overwriting till it works.

If you haven't been able to download the patch or if you have future trouble try giving your modem a reset and if you have anything download or running on your computer stop it until the patch is done downloading. Try looking at your Socom disc. When the last patch for Socom3 came out the game would freeze on me every time I would try to download it. It was in bad shape and I finally used my friends disc to get the patch and it worked on the first try.

no when it says press x to restart dont do that u must shut off ur ps2 by turning the power off there are many threads on this so if u try and search for them u should be fruitfull also try searching under patch or update or maybe memory card

so dl ur update save it and when it says press x dont instead press ur POWER button on the BACK not ur reset button on the front .then turn power on'press x at the memory load screen when it says and continue to log on to sca online then begin killing

This has happened to me before, too. Just disregard what it says about it saying something is corrupted, because it's not. Go online and it should work fine. It did for me at least.
