Will it be possible to use a bluetooth phone ear piece as a mic for games or if there is new socom on PS3? I am almost positive ps3 supports bluetooth, so then is it definite that all games that use a mic on PS3 and hopefully one day Socom use those wireless ear pieces.

I know its kind of a random question, but when it comes to mics for playsation all I really think about is socom and how cool it would be if ps3 and socom could be supported by bluetooth ear pieces and not those same old mics we have been using for the last 4 years.

PS3 bluetooth
I have the PS3 and cannot use bluetooth technology while playing CA.
I have to use the long wire mic to get my gaming on for CA on PS3.
Good luck and if you do find out how to make it work, let us know.

I dont have a ps3 I just read that ps3 supports bluetooth(right?) so if it does then it what way will it be used. With wireless controllers? Headsets? I was just thinking how much easier it would be to use a bluetooth phone piece for a mic is ps3 supports bluetooth

sure that would be the easiest & cheapest option but rest assured sony will probably release the accessory you are looking for (for a nominal fee)...

it will probably have to ba a licensed product to work

i just wish i could get my ps2 to start up via the psp kinda like a ps2 remote deal... but hey... what can you do

How cool would it be if you could use the bluetooth headset for your phone(Razr or whatever)and play socom with it.When you have a call it auto-mutes the game and you can answer.Working from home would be a blast!

I've heard you can use a bluetooth headset thing, possibly from your phone, but it has to pair up with your PS3. I heard somebody's Motorola one worked, but I'm not sure if it'll work with CA.

mmmm mmm. Google sure is nice.

Basically I found out that there is a section on the ps3 menu that opens up bluetooth just like as you would for a phone. But not many pnone pieces are being accpeted by the ps3. Sony/Logitech are making a wireless headset but does not really look like the phone pieces that fit in your ear. It will either support bluetooth or the same sensor that reads the wireless controllers with I though was through bluetooth anyway?

I have been thinking about this lately. It may work on PS2. There are adapters called Bluetooth Dongles that you connect to a USB port so that you can use a Bluetooth headset on a PC. It basically looks like a USB Thumb/Flash Drive but it is a transceiver. You can find them online for about $20.00.

Since I already have a Bluetooth Headset for my phone, I am going to pick one of these Dongles up and try it. They usually come with a driver that you need to install on your PC so I am not too confident that it will work but I am definitely OK with spending the $20 to find out.

I will post the results once I do.
