that actually would be nice if Zipper and them would sell the SOCOM series to another gaming service, maybe like Electronic Arts or something

I think zipper has made the gaming grow leaps and bounds with the inception of the first socom....even though boomer was a idiot most of the time....how many games at the time had voice recognition? Online play over a console? huh what? thats the end of my rant about zipper...I give them kudos....


as far as a new SOCOM for PS3(which after playing Call of Duty 3 on my PS3) I think the interactive enviornment is #1 in my book.....I think that the game titles that are out for the PS3 right now only scratch the surface of what that amazing machine can do....if you think how far graphics and such evolved from the original PS2 titles to the current ones....and the titles have finally pushed the machine to its limits....Im buckled in for one hell of a ride here!

I wholeheartedly agree with the spawn invinceability suggestion as that's something that I've thought about recently. It would singlehandedly eliminate 75% of spawn camping right off the top.

I also would like them to get back to single mission maps like in S2. If you want to play an awesome map like Foxhunt, you have to play it Escort. Like it or not, that's the game. They have all kinds of cool game types in S3 and CA, but since you can choose your game type, all you ever see are Suppression games. Require the players to play certain game types and people will learn to enjoy it.

Finally, they need to employ a certain number of full-time online moderators. For instance, you are playing a game and someone is obviously glitching. Hit a "Report Glitcher" command in the start menu and one of two things could happen: Either a message is dispatched to a moderator who can come in as a spectator and either suspend or automatically ban the offender on the spot OR when the function is enabled, an autorecord of the round is logged where a moderator can later review and deal with the offender. I realize that this requires a fair bit of money, but if it brings in a better good-faith agreement with the customers it could be justified.

Graphics that don't look like it's on the PS made before it.
More weapons.
Invincible for 2 seconds after spawn.
Eliminate taking out your weapon when you spawn.
Ability to drop weapons. Such as an empty AT-4.
Customize your character's clothing. Maybe make your own character.
Weapons like grenades or rockets shouldn't weigh anything after being used.
Better hit detection.
Bring back blood.
More realistics wounding. (.50BMG hits your arm it's gone.)
More realistic weapon ranges. (M16A2 not being able to kill past 170m is horrendous.)
Shorter draw distance and longer range of sight.
Ability to choose your ammo and types of magazines. Such as slugs rather than shotshells for you shotgun or Beta-C double drum mags for automatic weapons.

If they were to have a "Report-a-Glitcher" function, they should have where the system takes a screenshot like of the last minute or so and that gets sent to Zipper workers or whatever and they can ban that player.

I'd also like it to be more like SOCOM II.

I think it would be awesome to use suppressive fire more usefully. It should only take a few shots to kill a guy, not nearly a whole magazine. Say for exampl, someone has a machine gun, laying down suppressive fire on your team. you cant just get up and run out in the open and kill the guy easily like you can in current socom games. you need to flank him and use cover otherwise, you get once or twice and your dead. The addition of a health bar was one of the dumbest things that zipper did. I also want to see a lot more weapon attachments. I want different types of red dot sights, cheekpieces for steadier aim when looking through a scope/sight, i want double magazine clamps and magazines taped to gether for faster reload times, tac lights for dark places, the ability to change stocks, for example, say I want an mp5 with a full stock instead of a retractable one for better aim. I should be able to change stocks, however the full stock is a little bit heavier than the collapsable one. I want to repel down stuff so that you can sneak in through the window of the room where the hostages are being held rather than getting killed the instant i open the door that the terrorists are guarding. Also, in single player, i want to have to work my way up the ranks to become a SEAL commander by going through BUD/S training at passing all of the phases of training. Then once you get to real missions, you should be able to do everything the SEALs do like jumping out of planes, or fast roping to insert into a mission area extracting with a SPI rig (sp*?) where you and your team hook on a rope and are lifted up by a helicopter. I like the 3rd person 1st person option too wher you can see your gun. If any have you seen the previews for the next gen game Rogue Warrior, this game follows the same concept and may end up giving SOCOM and zipper a run for their money. check it outIGN: Rogue Warrior
