Offline Headset Problems (no Router!) (caps)

OMG... I rented a socom3 disk today... thinking when I went home I'd be able to use my mic... NOPE..... Same thing, wtf??? Still cant use my mic and it still says 0 people in the room have mics. I'm so lost. So I cant use a mic with socom3... why the **** not? I need some help....

Like I tried telling you before, but you didn't pay any attention, it's the game itself. It's not the disk. It's not your ps2, it's the game. Just about everyone has problems with the mics at times. I've gone through at least a dozen games until I could talk, and hear others talk. It's just a problem that Zipper has yet to fix (and probably never will). Just hope that with Combined Assault coming out, they actually fix more of the problems.

I also found that if I leave my playstation on for prolonged periods of time, without playing, my mic seems to not work so well when I start playing again. Yes, I have a router, but I've done the same thing without a router, and the same thing happens. So it's not a router problem either (if you have one hooked up).

Yes I have one, but I dont see how its the game... I use to play Socom3 at my cousins house with my ps2... ahhhhh.... idk... I'm praying when Combined Assualt comes out I can use my mic . Also I couldn't use my mic on single player mode on the rented disk either... socom is ****ed up and im now starting to really realize it...

*QUESTION*: Do you think theres a chance my mic will work with S:CA?? I was hyped about being able to use it again because it was sure to work, seeing as the only game i cant use it on is S3... but will it work? I realize now that the two games are going to share the same server, so maybe I still wont be able to use it??? I'm renting S:CA when it comes out, and if my mic doesn't work, theres no way im going to play a year and a half again with no mic. I'll be done with socom... until the next one comes out on a new server. :)

i would have to say its definetly the disc..i had the same problem..i couldnt figure out wtf is was..my mic was fine..but it couldnt work..fancy that i bought a new disc and mic works good as new..idk..worth a shot i suppose =)

Did you read the rest of the thread? I did rent another disk, but it still didnt work... IDK, it must be my connection. I played at my cousins house with my ps2, game and router and I could use my mic perfect.

Hmm.... I just logged in earlier today at my house and I can use my mic now. I guess the update I downloaded fixed it, or maybe not. IDK, i'm just glad I can use my mic!
