I went about a month without since socom 3 came out. I chose to go to my mates caravan at the beach rather than play socom for a fortnight and then I just didnt play it afterwards. It was still pretty hot after summer so I was out doing stuff. I chose not to play socom for about a month. I probarbly wont play it for till we get SCA in Australia because Socom 3 dosnt interest me much anymore and Socom 2's servers are empty.

The longest I have gone would be like 3 months, I just didn't have the intrest in the game. Right now, I haven't played in like 3 weeks. Although, when Winter comes, and the daylight get shorter, I will play again. SOCOM is good to pass the time.
As to Noodie, you didn't have to spend your "hard earned cash" on this game. No one forced you to do so, nor will anyone ever force you to. If the game was so badly designed, you could have sold it back to EB games for nearly the retail price.
You say something about getting a life? Well, this topic really askes the question about people getting a good life. People that don't play the game for periods of time, evidently, did something else.
Another question, why does it seem that a really good topic has to be ruined by some Jackass? If a mod cleans this topic out, please delete the last three paragraphs of my ranting.

Probably only a week or so, I like S3. Granted it doesn't have the same addictive quality as S2 but I love the weapons, game modes and maps. I think one of the reasons I play so frequently is that my clan (mostly the same guys from S2) is almost always on. We have at least 6 guys on every night. I think playing with your friends makes the game much more enjoyable.

Well I have always taken breaks of a month or two because I got sick of it after playing it endlessly for months on end, then the new one would come out and I would be right back into it. Then my internet went out for almost 6 months and I just got it 3 weeks ago, right back to the grind, and all the initiall bugs seem to be fixed.

The longest I stayed away from socom would be 3 months. I was moving, and we hired packers. They just basically packed everything without asking, so my ps2 and all my games got packed. Then we moved into a rental house while our new house was being built. Now that I have moved into the new house, I play socom at least once a week.

Alright, did some cleaning in this thread... Deleted about 10-12 posts for those of you that were bickering back and forth about lives. Consider yourselves warned for the most part (and don't worry, I know who started the problems and who the trouble maker(s) is/are).
As for the amount of time I spent without Socom...
I think it's probably been over a year now, but I'm not entirely certain. Actually, it has to have been at least a year (I know because I was on vacation at this time last year, and hadn't played for a few months prior and haven't played once since), perhaps between a year and a half to two years without playing the game.
So either way, I've gone an extremely long time without playing anything Socom related. The biggest problem was that I was addicted to the original Socom when it was released, and I didn't like Socom 2 as much compared to the original experience.
And when I say I was addicted, I mean it... Basically everyone in US East 1 - 3 (the places I played) knew me, and I knew them.... by name. It was bad, but it was also extremely fun.

DaKilla, thank you for cleaning my house. There's too many people walking in with their shoes dirty... I don't have to pay you, right? *cough*
Anyways, I'm happy to hear that there weren't too many "I stopped because I hate ths game" posts.
