What's the longest you've gone without socom?

About 3 months. I was barred from playing video games for a week then when I was allowed to play again I lost most of my interest in SOCOM. I used to play Area 51 before I got SOCOM 3 then I got Subsistance , don't like Subsistance or BF:2 MC as much as S3.

Honestly, I think after a long break, and then returning, I believe that you gain an interest over again... "Oh I haven't played this game in a while..... ooooo, coool"...

You might even feel like the moment that you first bought the game... I was like that with sonic adventure 2 for dreamcast... I played it to death for a long time, then I stopped ause I lost it... then I found a download online and burned it and played it after a few years. dusted off my dreamcast and played it... I was amazed. I still had my old skills, with new skills of other games, but it was still like I bought it for the first time... good times...


i wish it was the same for these forums though... havent been here in a while, and its the same... until it's updated...

Eight months to be exact. I quit playing in Jan 06 and started back 2 days ago (Aug 11). I got tired of all the exploits and people abusing them (cheating) thus ruining my experience. And WOW 8 months later... it's still the same. I was shocked after all this time. Oh well.

maybe about 7 months. i got through. came out with a new GF. lol, I am planning on taking another break here soon.

September 2002 - I purchase socom and play straight through until the summer.

August 2003 - PS2 breaks and is sent in for repairs.

(2 months without Socom)

November 2003 - Purchase Socom 2 the day my PS2 gets returned to me.

April 2004 - Stop playing Socom 2 for FFXI.

August 2004 - Start Socom2 up again.

October/November 2004 - Releases of GTA:San Andreas and Halo 2 stop my Socom playing. In January I start up Wow, as well.

March 2005 - Find this site, get intreged about Socom 2 and Socom 3 again, start playing for the site clan.

August 2005 - Playing Beta

October 2005 - Purchase Socom3 and start playing

December 2005 - Stop playing Socom 3 due to lack of time and intrest.

(7 months without Socom)

July 2006 - Start playing Socom 3 again.

August 2006 - Respond to topic about Socom and time spent without it.

Longest time spent not playing SOCOM: Stopped playing it one mont after it's release, not because of hatred, but because of my crappiness.
Longest time spent not playing SOCOM II:3 years and counting.
Longest time spent not playing SOCOM 3:2 and a half months.

when school starts im aint gonna play for like 6 months and im probably go through withdraw of SOCRACK, it probably gonna drive me crazy. just watch me think of plan to win devil's road during the SATs and ACT

it has been 2 weeks now....you dont desire socom after the first week....but the first two--three days without socom...is hell....it good to take breaks from socom to get your life in order, instead of playing socom 24/7

Reason: I moved from tennessee to virginia and the movers lost my PS2, S3, and S1. It kinda sucked.
