Socom Dictionary (terms and definitions)
I dont know if this thread was already made but I think it would be a good idea to post some of the terms of socom. for instance...

G^ - green up, used to advise people to click start to make the little circle next to their name turn from red to green, making the game start sooner. Usually used by impatient people in game lobbies. The same results can be achieved by telling people to get ready. Also reffered to as...GTF^ (green the **** up)

Newb Cannon - Any gun that is considered easy to get a kill with, whether it be because of great accuracy, rate of fire or clip size. The most common gun reffered to as a newb cannon is the M60E3 machine gun, which has a large clip rarely requiring reloading giving you an advantage in battle.

GNK - A common room name meaning "glitch no kill". The room is designed for people who want to practice, experiment or learn new glitches in the game. The guidelines of the room however is you cannot kill anyone unless they ask you to.

Those are just a few. If you have any more feel free to add.

Rank-up : A person who goes into a room and has multiple "dummy" players sit around while they do the objective and rack up kills. Ex: Player1 goes to a Convoy Medley and places 6 six dummy players on the other team. Player1 now goes and does the objective while also killing the dummy players.

Glitcher : A person who takes advantage of flaws in the game to go into areas that aren't supposed to be reachable.

Noob : A person who is new to a game and isn't good. However it is now used as a term used to discredit the other player. It is usually used when the player uses a "nooby cannon", glitches, or is in fact a true noob.

I'm pretty sure there is an online dictionary thing for this, but who cares, this is fun. (Oh god, I think writing a dictionary is fun!!!!)

Yeah, I think this idea would be an excellent choice to post on the Table of Contents. Alot of people don't know the basics' on the lingos' so, it would mean alot if Socom 3 Forums could help them out.

Thats called a lag switch or stand by, you cant pull you're cord out of you're ps2 in s3, you will get disconnected, go ahead and try it. Its called a lag switch and i fricken hate those things because it is cheap kills, and are for people who have no lives and want people to think they're good at a video game and can get lots of kills. But its just cheap.

It's a common misconception that noob and newb mean the same thing. A noob dosn't have to be new to the game , the term is used when they don't play well and do things other people don't like. A newb is someone that is new to the game used in the same sense as newbie. You can pull your cord in S3 to cause lag without getting disconnected in the midddle of a game. And how the hell did this get five stars so fast.
