Own(ed) - A term used by a team/player to let the losing team know that they just got their @sses kicked. It's usually used by a team of cocky players that think they're the sh!t, but really aren't that good. It's best used when your team goes 6-2 or better.
Pwn(ed) - Look above you
1337 - Also known as l337, l33t, leet, and any other combination of letters (best known for the all number version, 1337). This is just a way that people find cool to say how "good" they or another player are.
IW-Scrub - This term was most commonly used on Socom 2 when a player used the IW-80 A2. The reason players would complain was due to its high rate of fire, high power, and extreme accuracy. Eventually a phrase came by going "Bada ba ba ba IW'ing it!". This term isn't used on Socom 3, but if it is (the IW-80 A2 is balanced now), just tell the player to f*ck themselves.
GB - GB is an abbreviation for gamebattles which is a site (gamebattles.com) where people from different games (Socom, Counterstrike, Halo, etc.) can go and sign their clan up onto a ladder. After that you can challenge other clans to a "GB war" and afterward, it gets recorded on the site, and whether you won or lost depends on whether you go up or down the ladder.
That's all I could think of for now. My 1337 definition may be off a bit, but who cares right?

Camper: One who sits the duration of the game in one spot waiting for people to come to them. This "technique" takes no skill what so ever and so one reason why the word noob was invented. Another term for a camper is an as5hat.
Rusher: One who rushs when a round begins. Ready to die.
Tango: Heard mostly by "Tango down" tango also stands for enemy.

Socom = No Life - Common phrase used to describe the ungodly amount of time spent on Socom during the day. This most usually pretained to the Socom 2 era when the game was extremely popular ranging from 40-60k on each night without question.
Socrack - It is a combination of Crack and Socom. Meaning Socom is an addiction and a drug which relates to the above comments of ungodly amounts of hours logged in.
SOCOM - Special Operations COMmand
Wall Hop - Exploit, but not glitch, used by many players before the first Socom II patch to quickly skip along walls. This was most commonly noted on Crossroads.
Sniper Bounderies - Game played more commonly on Socom 2 which unofficially divided the map into two sides during a snipers only respawn. The most common map for this game type is Vigilance in which the trench would act as a divider for both sides. The objective is to kill your opponents with snipers without leaving your side of the map.
Newb Gun - Term dating back to the days of Socom 1. This term was originally used for the M63A & M60E3 machine rifles. There was a problem with changing firing modes randomly as a newcomer to the game. The buttons were extremely sensitive in Socom 1 without the press and hold introduction with Socom 2. New players would use these two weapons so as not to worry about accidentally changing firing modes within a fire fight. They also did not have to worry about reloading as much. These weapons were extremely inaccurate and very ineffective. Now and days this term is used way too loosely. People use it to describe every gun that kills them.
Teamkiller - One who kills his own teammates for fun and recreation. This can also be used to describe a member of your team who is really acting as an operative or splinter cell for the opposing team. They try and steal a round from you by entering the match and killing your entire team or the majority of it.
Headshot - Self explanatory. A shot from your gun which enters your enemy's head.
Crosshairs - The horizontal and vertical lines across the center of your screen used to guide your aim. The general location in which the center of your crosshairs hits is where your bullets will end up.
Socom 3 Generation of Egotistical, Lazy, Complainers - People who played Socom 2 and are sick of the play style in Socom 3 due to the larger maps and increased ability to play every map in manner different ways. They now claim the "proper", "only", and "true" way to play Socom is without grenades, without sniping (excluding quick sniping), without camping, and without a large array of weapons they choose not to use at any given time. These are the people who just want to run at eachother in open fields and test their skills versus other players based on who can rush, quicksnipe, and run and gun the best. They completely exclude the entire sniping, camping, and other tactical gaming strategies. They are bored with the game, and just cannot go back to S2 after playing S3. They are ruining the Socom world.
Original Map Goodness - Blizzard, Ruins, Desert Glory, Frost Fire, Night Stalker, Abandoned, Bitter Jungle, Blood Lake, Rat's Nest, Death Trap

Time for some basics that anybody that uses the internet should know.
lol (LOL): This means "laugh out loud" and is used when someone makes a joke, tries to make fun of someone, or when someone feels like randomly typing it up. You'll see this alot when friends/clanmates are together (gotta be on each others nuts, right?).
lmao (LMAO): This means "laughing my @ss off" and is used for the same reason as above.
lmfao (LMFAO): This means "laughing my f***ing @ss off" and is used for the same reason as above.
rofl (ROFL): This means "rolling on floor laughing" and is the same as above.
roflmao (ROFLMAO): This mean "rolling on floor laughing my @ss off" and means the same as above.
roflmfao (ROFLMFAO): This means "rolling on floor laughing my f***ing @ss off" and means the same as above.
jk (j/k): This means "just kidding" and is used when someone burns another person, and they were just messing around.
np (n/p): This means "no problem" and is used mostly for computer games and not on Socom, but hey, anything happens, right?
Spawn Camping: This term is used in respawns and it means that the opposing team is "camping" your base. Right when you (and your teammates) spawn, the enemy shoots you. If this happens, change your spawn, or get a plan going to spawn all at once.
GNK: (I'm not sure if this was posted) This means "Glitch No Kill" and is used for game titles to say that it's a room where you can perfect your glitching technique, without worry of being killed.
11-3/11-4: This is what people will name their games for small maps (sometimes), to let people know that it means it's 11 round and 3 minutes (or 4 minutes). Sometime it will say it's 11-3, but it's really 11-6.
Sniper Boundaries: This def. is for the Socom 3 part of it. The def. above gives you all the info you need, but for Socom 3, the most common map is Devil's Road. The boundary is the giant lake in the middle of the map.
12G Only: Anything that says that or, 12gauge pump only, pumps only, no M4/TA, or anything like that (besides shotguns only) means that it's a room that is shotguns only, but you can only use the 12 Gauge Pump.
Pistols Only: These rooms are made to have pistols only, and unless the title says no M18 ( Model 18 ) or no 226 (the 226), then it's safe to say that all guns are useable, but it's better to ask when you join.

they want to make love to their gun? Joke, i think it means when there's an enemy by, you know when their gun goes up. Like when somebody says this is hot territory, it usually refers to the area is watched or there is firefight around it.
Some of my definitions.
******* - You'll be called this if you glitch, team kill, just about anything apart from fragging somebody whos on the other team.
Guns Up - Self explanatory, weapons gone up so there's somebody around.
Grenade! - Run...

BTW: By the way; mainly used in forums and chatrooms.
BRB: Be right back; used when a player is leaving and is going to be back.
TK: Team kill; mainly used when a player is appologizing for killing a team mate.
E^: Even up; used when someone wants the teams to have an even amount of players.
WTF: What the f*ck; used when someone is either angered at the acts of their team mates or the opposing team. Also used when some one is confused about something.
