What happens if u blow up like the 2nd car though how would the 3rd and 4th car get by? unless like each car had its own engine and everything. Otherwise all the seals would have to do is blow up the car behind the armored thing pulling them and they would win because the other cars lost their connection to the engine.

I was thinking the same thing, yet the train could have a total health bar, with each car taken out reducing its health.
SEALs being able to destory tracks is far too one sided. They could derail any part of the tracks, forcing the terrorists to primarily focus on that.
Very good idea, though.

Lol. It would be cool if you didn't have to go in the box car to plant. You could just run up to the side of the car and plant the C4 on the outside wall. I would be halarious, just run up, plant, and dive into the nearest vegitation. Aw, that would be sweet! The terrorists wouldn't know where the hell it came from!

Make the train hold the whole team, and if you blow the very front train up, then the terrs dont fail, they can still kill all the seals in a firefight and defend the stationary train.
Make it so it can roatae the tracks and the train goes around the whole map again, and hopefully it can get through the second time round. Train mines would be cool, but really n00bish, just plant the mines and wait.

You could have a couple armored boxcars spread out thru the train. Or, have a couple flatcars, with a tank on it. Tank couldn't move, just use it's weapons. The boxcar that will be the target, would have two MG turrets on the top, plus gun ports along the side. You could take out the turrets only with AT-4's/RPG's. And the gun ports could be taken out with a well placed nade or AT-4/RPG. I'd like to see the option of the Seals taking over a train that has hostages, and switching it back to a safe track to win. Maybe a switch in the main boxcar or engine could be thrown, and the car would change color, and train would roll backwards? Or having one place, where the train could be stopped, with a landslide. It would take a satchel charge to do it. It would not be easy to get to, but would be easy to snipe at. Maybe the track switches could be thrown, and then blown up with C-4, so it couldn't be switched back? If the engine was a steam one, you could shoot the boiler section, and slow it down, but not blow it up. It would take a bunch of rounds, to do that. Say over a 100? Or about 4 AT-4/RPG's? And at the start, the Terrorist would have about 30 seconds to get on the train, before it starts to move? Just a couple of my ideas. But whatever, this is a cool idea!

my two ideas are manual powered boxcars for seals alongside train like they could jump over and plant or having the train slow enough to runup on the side and plant

I think there's a simular Thread posted somewhere else, presenting ideas about new levels, missions or whatever. But, I've read alot of simular listings and this one I must say, I ranked it's idea on a scale of 8/10. Only reason, I think 3-4 C4 should be planted but, it would be a bit difficult to board the train while moving, and board with Terrorists in the area. So, it would already be hard to watch your back, while trying to board a train, while trying to plant 5 C4..So, yeah lol. I still think it's a very unique idea!

Well for one thing I know it won't be on Combined Assault, lets all hope for it in Socom 4. This idea would be even better if C4s were actaully important/useful.

pretty cool idea, a freight train, ambshes, cannon on cars sounds like fun i would play that for sure. heres a couple of ideas but about 50X lamer. in crucible, there are peacekeeping missles in 4 areas, terr spawn 1, seal spawn 1, tank spawn and in small map. it would be kinda cool if you could use those in a game, it would be cheap but cool. or in waterworks, a convoy type mission like the frieght train but a convoy boat, with machine guns and a place for cargo and stuff. lame i know but i would play them.

Well, since it's a Convoy type idea here's an idea that would get rid of the M2 problem.
One certain ConV maps, Terrs have to have C4 and it's locked in place (Unless you take it off by saving you custom on a Suppression map, then going into a ConV) and you cannot get rid of it.
So why not the reverse for M2s? Instead of having M2s being a selectable item, why not have them say Unavailable or something when you try to switch your inventory around?
Seems like a quick and easy solution to me. I don't know if anyone mentioned it on the last page; I skimmed through the last few replies.
But I'd find AT4s amusing if you could get on top of the train, and aim down and blow the carts seperate from one another. Then whomever's in that cart would have to get out and chase the train (Since it's slow moving, I'd imagine that part being more annoying than a daunting task)
