I've played on Socom 1, 2 and 3 and up till now not been a member of a clan... but i do tend to find that i stick to select group of people if i can... not necessarily all on the same side... but its nice if you know the people in the room well... thats when i have fun and really when i play at my best...
Its also good when you don't have to worry bout what everyone else is thinking bout you... I know if i'm letting the side down... and like someone was saying earlier i'm 25... I don't need a clan leader to tell me i'm doing something wrong...
But on the other hand... 'Nuff respect to those of you who are that commited to the cause that you set up your own clan forums e.t.c. it all takes a lot of effort and at the end of the day its better than getting an ASBO...

I enjoy my clan because we talk to each other and know what other people are doing without having to say it more than once.
We're a bunch of dicks to everyone else and each other, sure... but that's just the initial impression most have of us. If you play often enough with us you realize we're just a bunch of guys goofing off while getting the job done.

The fact that just anybody can make a clan, and that anybody can join em (except unverifieds of course) makes them kinda trashy indeed. But there are good ones out there. Just keep your eyes open and you'll find a good one. Some are pure GB and others are just friends. Right now my clan [D-J] is all demo, all the time. And i'm happy with that, we're a tight bunch. My experience with clans has been horrible, until i found this one. It's really personal preference. I tried finding one with people i can relate to (and who didn't noob up a room) and i recommend you do the same.

if it means that much to you, and you want to do the work of a true soldier, then join the army or something. It is a game! most of my clans dont really have great leaders or anything, but we have fun... What it all comes down to, if you can win gunfights, you can win wars. that is it. you can be the most tactical, tight bunch, but if you cant win gunfights, you are worse than the overnight clans.

the whole reason i bought and play this game is to team up with my 15 member strong clan go into rooms , talk 5hlt , vote d!cky people out, team kill , laugh , and piss people off, but we never glitch and most of the time we dominate too. i love to make people mad on socom it makes me happy to make others miserable ha ha ha ha

Clans are also for groups of people that are just friends... I was in a clan with some of my school friends even though they sucked balls, I still warred with them and stuff. But they also fooled around a lot. If you personally don't like unorganized clans, then just make an organized one, it isn't that hard.

My clan ([PMP]) rules. We don't usually **** talk, and there all like 20^, no little kids!!! (sept for me  ) but I'm so cool it takes the place of it.
