I need help connecting
I would try to log online but when I hit connect about 7 seconds later it says 'Disconnected from Network' so I go to Network Configuration and test my connection and it says The Operation has timed out....any suggestions?

Unplug your router and modem for a minute or two and let them sit.
Make a new internet configuration (after you plug them back in).

Worked for me when i got that disconnect stuff

it's happened to me before, I just waited for a couple of hours and it was fine again. yeah my ps2 is awesome like that

i have the slim ps2 and that started to happen to me also, but i finally got passed that and now the dnas server wont respond... i think its error code -610... i test my connection and it passes as if it was fine...

You need to reset ur modem, unplug everything from the back of it, wait about 20 secs and plug everything back in and you have to wait a few mins for it to connect.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to call your ISP tech support if resetting and unppluging the modem doesn't work. Mine has been able to help from time to time when I have had issues - they can reset your modem from remote too.
