No, they will not work like a PNN mine. But if you were to put a PNN mine down, next to a M-2 mine, someone walking over the PNN, would set that off, which would set off the M-2. It takes a heavy weight, to set off the M-2's, by themselves. If you put a M-2 on a body, and a vehicle drives over it, then the mine would go off. And I know a Claymore will also set a M-2 off. As would shooting one.
M-2 mines are only for vehicles, nothing else. If you want anti-infantry mins you need to use the PMN mines. The M-2 mies requires a heavy object such as a tank or convoy truck to trigger them. But of course if a vehicle runs a M-2 mine over, an infantry can still die by the explosion if the yare close enough to it. Use PMN mines for infantry, M-2 mines for vehicles.

this got me thinking....
u said that the PMN would blow up if a vehicle ran over it,
what if you had ur whole team line up a bunch of mines and have somebody run over it
get ur team to max out on mines, im sure it would blow up eventually,
if somebody could get a video of running over like 20 pmn mines in a row THAT WOULD BE SWEET!

try that with your friends in a respawn.
but i've seen people in killing fields or other maps with no cars and plant m2 mines and somehow kill themselves. you can try using a m2 mine to kill the enemy, but i never tried it.
