I see that several people have ask this question before but still have not gotten an answer to it. Every time I try to Verify an account this message appears: "Transaction Failed CSR Reference Code: 44" Is there anyone knowledgeable enough to know what this means? I'm new to all of the online gaming world and would really appreciate some help!
Yup this happened to me to last night, I'm glad at least it's happening to other people and its not something wrong with my credit card. I'm thinking of callign Zipper or Sony soon, I started a post like this in the Online Gaming forum.
Are putting the right Authorization Code in? The Authorization code needed is not your PIN number, but the last 3 digits on the back of the card. If you're doing this correctly and still getting the message, call Sony. They will help y'all better than we can.
Well, I called SONY and they told me that "Reference Code: 44" means that the server was busy. The rep. said to try again before 3p.m. or after 11p.m.
Also she said that the reason why it's so busy too is because people are downloading the new updates and patches for Socom 3. I hope this helps everyone that had this problem.

Thanks I'll try that, and in the other thread a guy said he called sony and they said it was a problem with the router all though this makes more sense.
ya i have the same problem i tired at least 10 times yesterday and when i called the yesterday they said the sever is really busy or that your bank might not let you get that charge on there
Well, I did after 11pm and today early morning, but still doesn't work.
I tried with 3 different cards, so I don't think it's because of bank etc.
They also said the server which verify account might have been down,
not SONY. I don't know why they even don't know what's going on...
