Why do People say Socom 2 is better then 3??

dont get that?? is it becasue of the vehicles, 32 player, New maps,New Game types??

What is it..a majority of people on this board and places say it?? why?

they prefer the fast-action run-n-gun unrealisticness of s2. seems outrageous, but some people are just crazy like that

hmm Did not think of that..Socom 2 really PUSHEd the bar for online gaming after socom 1. I guess they enjoyed it soo much they cant seem to forget about it..

the socom2 maps were the f uckin greatest really. thats one of the things they miss. which i do too. also i kind adont like big maps because running around for 5 mins then getting killed by lag is kinda gay.

First all if you think socom 3 is much more realistic you are kidding yourself...its a game bottom line and NOBODY or only a select few would even play it if it were totally realistic. Next the reason why most people still think socom 2 is better is the flaws in socom 3 since release. Its quite rediculous that they havent fixed them up till now and a complete joke. Luckily i had no problems with mic issues/connection issues but a few of my friends did and quit because of it. Id lay money on the fact theyve lost more customers than gained because of this. Also it will make people more leary of the next socom when it comes out. I personaly woulda been happy with just an update for socom 2 than a new game on the ps2...they shoulda held socom 3 back for the ps3. It woulda handled better on the PS3 and they coulda worked out a bunch of kinks and issues. Atleast we arent paying to play it.....it would only be worse. Now dont get me wrong....socom 3 has many good points...but the bad points are so severe it overshadows whats good about the game. Once again step back from the "fan boy" stance and look at the game in whole...not just your experience but everyones.... not too good huh...i NEVER recall this many problems with socom 2's release and a few months into gameplay on the servers. Anyone who owned socom 2 since its release can tell you that was one smooth runnin mutha for quite awhile (atleast till christmas of that year) and the hit detection/server problems didnt start till then....but atleast they were bearable. People didnt quit cause of mic issues/connect issues etc.

i think the maps are bit better on s2 like crossroads cant beat that but uhh i wouldnt say its better than s3 depends on ur mood i guess

I personally don't think that "most" people on this forum believe that. Mosts posts show up in the Socom3 Online Section. The threads that you see dissin' Socom3 on here are from people looking for someone to agree with them, since they can't get anyone to agree with them online playing Socom3.

I hear more complaining on the game than on here, for sure. Log into Socom2, write down the number of people playing. Then, log onto Socom3 and write down the number of people playing. After doing this, use a tad bit of logic, and it should be clear as to which game is better.

People were saying SOCOM 1 was better than 2 when SOCOM 2 first came out. Many don't realize or remember it, but SOCOM 2 did have its share of server issues after it first came out, too. You tend to hear "SOCOM 2 is better" when you are online playing SOCOM 3. Why are they playing 3 then? The answer is these cattle are just following the herd and they think the SOCOM 2 lovers are the cool herd to follow right now. SOCOM 2 is still going strong and has its share of players and is a great game. But the fact is everybody wanted more maps and more players and vehicles and now they got it. So they're all over here.

i play socom 3 a lot and also socom 2.

some people like s2 better because----now i have to say s3 is a better game but---- they like s2 better because s2 is easier to just pick up and play when you dont really wanna get too involved... the lobby is more simple, joining games is more simple and the rounds go by quicker.

Also, its very hard to get away from desert glory, crossroads, ruins, etc... some great maps.
