The Radar, And why no one use it?!

I'm tired of getting killed by a team member, and they say "Sorry dude. I didn't see your name." It will help if you look at your radar/compas. Blue Dots = Friends, No Dots or Red Rectangle(Technical) = Terrorist. It's that simple. You can also use your Scopes if you're not to sure if the person you're about to engage is a Friend or Foe. People need to stop complaning about the name visuals. "Man I can't see names, dude where's your name?, man I didn't see your name so I shot you, if you ask me its more realistic this way. Like BIG Mike said "Keep your eyes open."

i don't see it as a problem because i have yet to see a room with friendly fire turned on. that's mainly because i stay out of the public rooms like a smart socommer.

True, I feel you there. But, the people I play with, play realisticly, Friendly Fire Enabled, 11 rounds, 5min a round. But c'mon. Don't you think its noobish not to look at your radar? They teach you this in single player mode on how to read the radar. This also shows you how many people take the time to play offline. Lazy people. "Can I copy your memory card?" "Mail me your Memory card." Meh.

I guess i can feel your pain but it just doesnt bother me much to be team killed. I am lucky i guess and only have 6 team kills out of 78 games played so im doing fine and i NEVER look at the radar...like you said you are gonna play realistically then the radar isnt realistic :P I guess it also helps my stats TK wise that im a rusher and die within the first 3 min of the round after a get a few kills :P But i would suggest to do what warlock said even though you all may not "like" it for realistic purposes....it is a game in the long run so there is only so much realism to be had. If this was real life and someone capped you in the azz then hell yeah id be mad if i were you but since its a game and if your in public rooms when its happening then you gotta take those lumps.....not saying you got be happy about it though :P

how is the in game radar "realistic"? plus, the radar dosen't do squat for you when you're trying to snipe somebody out of radar range.

and before anyone says anything about "just look at the uniforms" i'd like to point out that there is very little difference between terrorists and seals ghilley suits, or the uniforms in general when you're using a thermal scope.

i would also like to point out that the names should always be visible and those of you that want "realism" can turn names off completely in your options if i remember correctly. some of us want to play socom 3 like the GAME it's meant to be, not like the SIMULATOR some of you would like it to be.

I use the radar as much as possible but sometimes the person you are looking at is too far away to show up as a blue dot. I think once we all get used to the skins we will start to see alot less TKs.

i use my radar but i never realize i am using it..... kinda funny its like you just get so used to the HUD and you utilize every bit of it and dont realize your doing it then you get 3 MVPs in a row and your like "HOLY MOLY" (insert word of choice at *MOLY*)

I only have 2 teamkills and over 100 completed games (but my rank hasnt gone up from petty 3rd class) and those kills is where i was snipinand the name didnt pop up on a fellow sniper wearing a ghullie suit, hidden in the grass
