Its amazingly accurate, with the highscope lets you see further than the gun is able to shoot. I've tryed sniping people with it and it'll put a red mark on their forehead but wont kill em. But other than that its a great gun, by far the most accurate assault rifle.

I'm not even going to waste my time playing the game again to get some IW-80 or STG. If you can't play with the guns already in the game then boo hoo. There are so many variaitons I have a hard time believing these guns are worth the time.

Hey CON... if your having problems with accuracy with the IW-80 i suggest adding a suppressor to it... i use mine with the supressor #2 and wow.. complete ownage a lot of times on my part :D plus i have used it without one.. and u are right it is kinds inaccurate... but feel free to try my method, maybe it'll change your thoughts on the ol' I-DuB

BLEH, For the sake of curiosity I finished the game in Admiral to see what was the big deal about the I-dub and STG since Zipper made them unlockable items. Well, I'm stabbing myself in the eye with a spoon. The I-dub is garbage for an unlockable. Now, the STG (Steyr)..... what a rip off, it's supposed to already have a scope and a front grip, so I figured I could attach something else but no..... no front grip....no scope. Neither weapon's performace is any better than any of the other already available ones. So Zipper wasted half a day of my life for.....nothing.

What were you expecting? an elite gun that you could own the best socom3 players with in a few shots?? that would be stupid... im satisfied with the performance of both weapons. you expected too much man.

For some reason I find the IW better supressorless... if you guys want accuracy, add the laser and front grip, and it'll run like a dream.

I haven't unlocked it yet. I just beat Riposte Primer or w/e on admiral, but the fact that it has good range, (I expect that since it can support a high scope, it must have pretty good range) and it can be suppressed is a big thing for me. The one thing that I don't like about sniping with the M16 is that it's not silenced, so I'll probably be using the IW-80 quite a bit.

The whole point of them is to run around with them to impress n00bs. They're not there to be good.
