ive been getting this today aswell
i log on, straight away it come up with error 9, it kicks me out and i have to sign in again, i do so, and it logs on fine, i play a game, come out and it freezes, i have to restart the ps2 to start again.
Whenever i come online i get a server error 9 message, which is supposed to be temporary and doesnt really affect anything, BUT when i exit my first game and the main menu comes up it ALWAYS freezes! and its really annoying
A "time out," in Socom Speak, means that your internet service is not responding to the game quickly enough. In other words, the lag time between when the game requests information and the actual reception of that information is too much. This can be attributed to intranetwork usage (you're transferring files on your home network) or to internetwork usage (you're downloading video or music). Simply try again at a different time, or stop downloading other files.
That sux, I remember when my ish was acting up. It is the most anoying thing especially when you play a game and then it just freezes. Fell for ya good luck
