Is Socom Confrontation for PS2 or PS3?

Is Socom Confrontation the same as Socom 4?

Socom Confrontation is for PS3.

Socom 4 is a completely different game being developed by Zipper. Currently, Slant Six is developing Socom Confrontation.

There has been no news of release dates for either game, but Socom Confrontaton has been rumored to be released early 2008. On the other hand, Socom 4 is rumored to be released late 2008 or early 2009. Everything up to this point is purely speculation, so these dates will most likely change.

Confrontation will also be released on the PSN network for download (in addition to a retail release), probably for a reduced price.
