Number three is what I waned in Confrontation. If I use stuff and don't carry it anymore, I want to run faster.

Its kind of irritating when you think that games are getting more and more realistic, but designers overlook such a simple element. It would be nice if I could run faster when I'm out of ammo and used all of my grenades.

I dont think they over look it. I just think that might be very challenging to create. Also they have to save things for future games. Like sports games never had argueing with umpire or instant replays. They know about it but I think just save it to have somthing better for their next game. You know what I'm saying?

Every game they come out with somthing slightly new just to get you to keep buying it. They probably already new they could make it but just wait.

I think when any developer is working on something, they have ideas that they're not able to realize because of time, budget, software or hardware constraints. Those ideas always get tabled for "next time".
I sincerely doubt they sit around and say "No, leave that out. That way we can get them to buy the next game when we throw it in."
Simple proof: Madden. Those games change maybe once every 5 years. People still pay $50+ to play the same game every year.

what about rpgs? Should they be automatically dropped after you have fired your two rounds or should you carry the unusable launcher around without any rounds. If you do carry an empty one around, it should still slow you down in my opinion which is hopefully what will happen. What do you guys think about being allowed to "throw" away your weaponary during the round if you dont want it - say you think the current situation in the field doesnt suit the use of an rpg and you dont want to be slowed down. I think you should be able to chuck away weapons (not JUST swapping guns) on the ground and they should be available for other players - just like counter strike.

If you fire all of your ammunition for an RPG, it should be tossed.
If you wish to toss your unwanted equipment, that should be able to go, too.

I would have to say keep it and you run faster as you use stuff. It's realistic that way. With S3/CA I'm sure they wanted to "penalize" you for hoarding stuff and I can certainly see the point behind that. Afterall it IS just a game.
I won't know for a long time what this game will be like because I don't see myself buying a PS3 until the PS4 is announced.
I had an absolute blast playing S1 and S2 and they had no encumbrance. I had an absolute miserable time (mostly) with S3/CA. I wish for the old school days where everyone tossed a gazillion nades in the first 10 seconds. Desert Glory, Fish Hook, Crossroads, etc were tremendous amounts of fun to play. Granted the lag and all that crap sucked but for pure excitement S3/CA doesn't even touch S2.
Doesn't everyone remember playing dozens of rounds a night? Best of 11's in only a half hour? Picking another map without having to take a power nap in between? Round start......3 kills.....you're dead, b0ng hits, cigarette, next round, repeat all night...
In closing, confrontation should worry less about the specifics that made the last two releases encourage masterbating to bouncing guille suit asses. Bring back the fun! And if the fun counts towards my encumbrance load then bury my butt in mud and just give me 9 nades and an M60.
