I keep a mental rep. meter, so I appreciate the contribution.
There has been a lot of talk on the next update that will come (as is expected from what they said in their last one), although that doesn;t quite mean much, I'm anticipating this update, too.

I cannot wait until they show some new footage. Hopefully they have fixed the way the characters move, and more importantly, how they jump. In some of the older trailers it doesn't even look like your character is jumping, rather he is just floating in air, which definitely hurts the game as a whole. We know that those trailers were showing the game in its early form, so lets hope for the best.

The only game I have ever liked the "jumping" in was socom 2. I have played so many video games and besides tony hawk I hated the way charters jumped on games even on socom 3.

Actually, I was rather fond of the jumping in S3/S:CA. It's not like turning while in the air is a supernatural thing.

Ya that is true but I hated being so constricted like on s2 you can like jump easly on things that you know in real life is easy too but on s3 there could be some tiny edge and it would take 2 or 3 times before I got on it.

I'm not sure I know what you mean, though I certainly recall only being able to jump in straight lines in S2.

Some areas on S3/CA are hard to jump because the place you are standing on is very thin. In S3/CA, you can jump well over six feet high. Try jumping over a standing enemy, you more than clear their head.

No you can't? Can you? Your lieing lol . I dont know though I just hated the way it jumped. I mainly liked the prone jump and not being able to do that was a huge disapointment, I love having sniper wars doing that.

I think Scuba was just trying to prove a point....
I don't want to see the return of the "prone jumping" as you call it. It may have been fun to do, but after a while, people will learn to abuse it in the new game, much like quick sniping was. You'll never be able to find a room that doesn't have at least 8 people running around the map doing it.

What's prone jumping?
Also, I wasn't lieing or kidding about jumping 100 feet high.
A perfect example of where to test this is in Harvester, big or small. If you're a terrorist on Harvester small, run towards the white house from your spawn. There is a small ledge on your way to it, go into that corner. When in that corner, stand up and half of the left ledge in front of you is over your head. However, you can still jump up it, even when your head is well below the top.
Or, you can easily jump over someone who is standing.
