Glad to see that the traditional Socom TPS view is confirmed as an option, and not just something they're "considering".
Good work, Skoob. Maybe you could PM that user, or post some links to some of our better wishlist threads?
I'm still on the fence about the red dots on the radar. My style is all run & gun, but I'm stealthy and erratic about it, and thus catch a lot of my opponents off guard.
I don't need to become a blip on their buddie's radar just because their crosshairs cross over me.
I rely on the confusion I generate when attacking, and this will dull that edge.

I sincerly apologize if this has been covered or talked about...but:
You know it doesnt make sense to me though why Zipper would just give up (or so it seems) just like nothing was ever there on the games fans. If they truely thought they goofed that much on CA and S3 then the least they could of done was make a good hard attempt at correcting the mistakes in stead of trying to at first sound like they are right and then try to act like nothing happend and it wasnt their fault. I dont own a PS3 yet HOWEVER I am very interested to see how Slant Six will take on this game considering its popularity and reputation (regardless of it some like S1 over S2 or over S3 so on its the TITLE itself)
Again im sorry if this is a stupid question but,
One question cause i have greatly fallen behind in the news...why isnt zipper doing Confrontation?
PS Its good to be back here at the forums! lol

Zipper isn't working on confrontation because they are (hopefully) working on socom 4.

It wasn't visible in previous videos as the mechanic wasn’t completed at that time. Today it is in the game and working great.

This was a big issue that people were concerned about from viewing the videos. I knew the character movement would not look that bad.

W00t!
Here are the other posts that SS has made (five in total and you've seen two), although they are not as important as the two I put up.

To clarify my comments about lobby system filters, it will be similar to what you have experienced in previous SOCOM games. You will choose “Custom Game” and sort through the region filters such as US East, US West, Canada West etc. to find or create a game. I can address one other concern: in Confrontation, SEALs will *not* have RPG’s as a loadout option.
With respect to the posts about the details of Confrontation’s release and beta, I think you guys know how this works, but I can’t comment on dates. The good folks at Sony will be sure to let you know as soon as there is official news. Keep posting questions, and hopefully I can provide an interesting update next week.

I noticed he said analogue stick, I didnt play much socom 3 but I clearly remember it being triangle to prone in socom 2. Did they change it or did he mean triangle? Its not a huge change but im just trying to think what triangle could be used for now. Hopefully they switched burst and stance but then again I rather change burst then all a sudden prone in a fire fight.

Neither.
It means that traditionally, when in crouch, a player can still run once the analog stick is pushed far enough in a direction. Then, when they stop running, they're back in crouch.
