Seems like an odd choice on the developer side. Hopefully they'll correct it, or we'll be doing a lot of sprint-change direction-sprint-change direction-sprint.
God i hope so talk about retarded.

I don't understand how you could add a sprint button yet not allow a person to change direction. The ability to move while running is an elementary feature and it would be a big disappointment if they drop the ball on this one. They still have time to fix it so lets not lose hope yet.

I'm not sure about the idea of being able to change direction. Is it that bad? I think people would be using it too much if you had the ability to change direction. Personally, if they are trying to keep it balanced, then you they should keep the ability to change direction out. I'd prefer to keep the whole damn feature out, but I have to keep telling myself this isn't ever going to be SOCOM II.

It puzzles me because the developers have always said that realism has always been a top priority of theirs. Granted, some things are not true to their real life counterparts for the sake of it being a video game, but I cannot see how changing directions while sprinting would take away from the game itself. You were able to change directions in COD4 and it did not effect the balance of the game; in fact, it is one of my favorite features which grants you the ability to advance to the action more quickly.

Just looking at how large the expanded crossroads is, sprinting looks like it's going to be a big part of this game. And considering how it doesn't look like we can run as fast as we used to with our characters, that just makes sprinting all the more important. It's already heavily handicapped with it's accuracy problems, why remove directional control as well?
