Easily the worst beta selection I've ever seen. The PS forums are full of complete retards, and I wouldn't pick more than a handful of people on there for a beta, or for anything where even mediocre intelligence is required.

The first phase of the beta is quite ridiculous. I can't remember how many people registered new names yesterday and made one post nominating themselves. The Mods noticed this after a while and thankfully put an end to it.
I do think it's unfair that other Socomers can't be in this first phase, but there are other phases to come. I'm not that pleased with a few people on the list right now. However, I can honestly say there is a great number of people who I feel confident in being part of the beta. If it was up to that group of people to make the game, I wouldn't have the slightest doubt in my mind.
Now the other people... I'm not too sure of.
People who nominated each other weren't accepted, either. It takes more than a "I'll nominate you if you nominate me" deal, which is good.

I Love u not, Ive played the alternatives to socom but nothing compares to it. RSV 2 is fun and the online part is good but I always go back to the socrack.How do people get chosen for the beta? baby

Only on this forum, would someone turn this post into a "camping" forum. Lets stop acting like five year olds people. I never saw in his post where camping was a skill, was merely mentioning the whining that a lot of people do.
That being said, this is a questionable beta, i guess it's all about who you know on this one. However, scuba, i trust that you will be a quality informent, and let us the know negatives and or positives
The phases after this first one will allow more people in the beta, so it won't be limited to just PS Forum members. At least, that's the assumption.
I sure hope so, as I'm might be getting a PS3 before Confrontation comes out. Good luck Scuba, Hopefully the beta will be a good foundation of what the game will look at release.

If this game was like SOCOM 3 Beta randomly chosen for G.A.P members, at least some people in this forum will get it.
That's what I was hoping for... I've been a G.A.P. member for 3 years now and I haven't gotten anything out of it that non-members wouldn't. I hoped I could get in on a beta or something, but nope. All I got is my Playstation hat that doesn't even fit me

To be honest, I think the best chance for getting into the beta would be to register at the PS Forums. I'm not promoting them or anything, but it looks like that will be the best bet. Some may not agree, but the Socom community is pretty large over there. Plus, it's the only site that has direct contact with Sony/SS reps.
I think phase two is something along the lines of self-promotion, in which you nominate yourself and state your case as to why you should be in the beta. Don't quote me on that, although I'm pretty sure that's how it will happen. And yes, to do so, you must be a member of the site.
