saw a quick pic of the new map in EGM

I was on the playstation forums where one of the guys got the EGM article earlier, though he was bsing us but we pretty much were all wrong, saw a quick peek of the hotel map called Urban Wasteland, that would be the pic we all saw from 1up.

Heres some key notes he had mention to us

crossroads (ps3) has an extra outer ring that the ps2 didn't have. There are two towers now.



Confrontation is 32 players but you can make smaller maps for 16 players total.



Tilt with the sixaxis can be tweaked for sensitivity, he also mention you can use this action to peak around corners to shoot



there will be 7 maps total at launch. All maps will be based in North Africa



there are exploding barrels and cars.



there is an underground map that has a collapse part triggered by the enemy



View distance is big, so no more fog like socom2



Clan support will be available on socom.com where the leader can change their clan, add players etc

fish hook is a little too small for 32 players

Sandstorm and Liberation were both in the north african theater as well, so it could be either of those too.

well i think it is safe to say that Foxhunt won't be in the running for maps to be released. I really hope that they add that map later, even though I doubt they will. Oh well, I guess the old foxhunt days are over

don't completely give up on the idea just yet. give the game about 6 months after release and see what happens, cause i've got a sneaky suspicion that with the ps3 having a hard drive we MIGHT see all the old maps released over time.
