have you ever tried throwing something really far while you're running? you almost have stop or you're thrown off balance after you release. if it's a little weak underhand toss of a nade, that is acceptable.

i'm definitely in favor of letting people play their game. if you're new to the game and can barely aim, there's no fun in running out and dying every time. you better sit back or move around from place to place feeling the map out and trying to get a kill while you can't be seen.

i don't like how people feel it's a noob's duty to die because they're new to the game. of course they will die, but let's give them the impression that they are doing something right.

i remember when i was a noob, i camped a little still died most of the time because aiming was hard.

I understand this. Noobs are of course going to have trouble aiming at first and that's fine. It's just there's people that I know of, and played with (former clanmates) that are capable of going out and getting kills easily, but instead they sit the back of the spawn and barely go even in Kills/Deaths. Then there's people who actually camp loses. Like do you really think the other team is going to come out if you yourself is camping in a 3vs1?

But can we please keep this topic to reducing camping and options to make the game better.

Since when did this become a private forum?

Wether I explain my reasoning or not, it's still an opinion. I was going to state how wrong you were eventually, but didn't have the time earlier.

1. Specific game modes will not make players not camp, nor did it contribute to the camping. End of story.

2. The weapon attachments are one of the best things in the game. There need to be some tweaks, but attachments are a must.

3. If you don't care about realism, play Halo. Socom has always been about the realism. A .50 cal round would tear your limbs and send them flying hundreds of feet. If you don't like getting hit once with a sniper rifle and dropping, why do you bother with shooters? Nearly all shooters have a one hit kill sniper rifle.

4. This entire idea is astounding. If you don't like ranged explosives, make your own room or find rooms that have them turned off. Besides this being very unrealistic, no one would use them, as they are pointless.

Once again, Easton is at the forefront of the WHINING AND COMPLAINING, my, my, my, you hate to see grown men reminding you of a 5 year old kid. I guess WHINING AND COMPLAINING, just because the world isn't the way "you want it to be", is what we do best as human beings.

*Oh no, my post in no way depicts a way to make the game better. If I don't have an opinion, then I shouldn't say anything at all.... right Easton?

Actually he is suggesting a way to make this game better for people that don't want to play the same map for an hour.

Easton, it seems as though you've developed a few stalkers in people that have nothing to add to any thread you make.

You're kidding, right?

Since when is this a dictatorship? Since when is it against the rules to post in a thread if you do not share the same feelings as the thread starter?

Easton is complaining and some people do not agree with him. This is life, people will tend to disagree with you at some point or another.

You are very hypocritical in that you state Frosting has nothing to contribute to this thread, yet what are you doing? If anything, Frosting is voicing his opinion, as opposed to you kissing ***.

Easton's views are wrong, in my opinion (and Frostings). If you, or Easton, do not like it, don't read (or post) a thread in which such responses are possible.

I'm wondering what Frosting added to this thread right there then?

You're one to talk. Need we revisit the controversial issue thread where the second post simply asked posters to stick with the topic at hand and not turn it into a my views vs. your views thread?

Did you read the thread? I'd assume not.

There's your contribution kthxbye

IMO, Easton's post is more about suggestions to get rid of camping, while, yes, complaining about it. So if you don't like my opinions, don't read them.

If you people have nothing to contribute don't even post. Scuba I appreciate that you at least posted your thoughts of why you think I'm wrong instead of coming in and starting a flame war, unlike some people.

Frostings you want to know why I hate camping so much? I'm in the same boat of the 40,000+ people that stopped playing three months after it's release. Socom 1 and 2 were simple, yet tactical games in which special tactics had to be used for certain maps. It just seems the more customization that became available the more people camped. Socom is still a great series and I along with many others, want to see it return to it's roots.

Now can we please keep this about the suggestions to reduce camping and fixing other problems?

One thing the needs to be fixed is the hit detection. The last game I played online I went 11-4. I had 13 headshots.... but I also had 4 grenade kills. The room I remember wasn't laggy or anything and I doubt anyone had codes.

Does that have to do with anything with the subject at hand? No. That statement you just made doesn't even make sense in how you're trying to relate it to this.

And you're telling me this because...? You don't have many points to your posts, Irish.

EDIT: I posted this while you were typing your reply, Easton and did not read it until after.

No problem.

The reason why Socom 3/CA has thousands less than SOcom 1 or 2 is because of other factors than what you listed, such as large maps and vehicles.

You're trying to "fix" a game that hasn't even had a public beta out yet. It's pointless. From everything we've been told thus far, those "problems" of Socom 3/CA will not be in Confrontation, as the game will be similar to Socom 1 and 2.

Again, how can you say something needs to be fixed when it hasn't even been tested by the general public yet?
