Lag Compensation ?
I heard a rumor just once a while ago that Confrontation would feature some sort of anti-lag programming or something.

Does anybody know anything about this ?

Cuz when i think about it, now bear in mind, i'm no tech wiz....
but if you shoot someone who is lagging bad, and not all the bullets that are hitting them are registering in the game, and then they kill you after eating
your harmless bullets right....

can't this problem be solved by making it so that when you are shooting someone that the damage is registered on your end, and that once you've have fataly shot this opponent regardles of his lagging or not, that his bullets can no longer harm you.

Just a thought.

Anyone know about this ?

That'd be an extremely complicated protocol to put together. Though possible, it'd create unnecessary network traffic.

The far easier solution would be to automatically boot people who do not have an acceaptable connection speed.

Booting people that didn't have a certain connection speed would be just to simple. Its free service so they aren't going to put that much into it.

Lol. Free service and they won't put to much effort into it.. for one, this would be zipper/slant six who did the programming for their 60 dollar a pop game, not sony with their PSN, since not all online games involve shooting. Even then, sony hasn't exactly been slacking on their free service. They're constantly working to bring PSN up to par with XBL, which in my mind, it pretty much is with the exception of like 2 or 3 missing features.

You can't prevent lag you can only try and deal with it.

Resistance and Warhawk had little to no lag, so Socom will probably be fine.

The only time I notice lag on COD4 is when the host leaves, which happens all to often
