I make the name "RuCKuSPS2" while still in possession of my PlayStation 2. I purchase a PS3, register to the PlayStation 3 network with the user name "RuCKuSPS3". Do I have to use the name "RuCKuSPS3" while I play online with PS2 games or can I still use "RuCKuSPS2"?

To answer this your Psn name is for ONLY ps3 games if you put a Ps2 game in then it goes through DNAS and to the log in in screen where you enter name. All ps3 games you just accept user agreements then you are logged in.
People who like single player will obviously lean to Zipper's SOCOM, but Confrontation's online may be better since the game is focused on that entirely.
Like I said, I hope Zipper can make an all round great game so people don't have to pick and choose between the 2.
Personally, I think Confrontation will be better. The idea of creating a custom character (similar to R6V) makes me feel warm inside.
I was unaware there was gonna be two different games. I only had Socom 2, which was amazing. I played Socom 3 and was very dissapointed, so I never played CA. I hope the new Socom is more like Socom 2.
