yeah its very important for the socom franchise this game doesnt **** up because if it does, i expect zippers version of socom 4 will take a blow. Lets just hope the socom series doesnt go into a downward spiral (in terms of sales and gameplay). the pressure is on slant six, they need to step up to the expectations. And they need to create some hype before the games released if they want it to sell. maybe a psn online demo for one level or something would help as well to draw people into the series?

You really can't do a demo for a multiplayer-only game...
Maybe not a demo, but possibly a beta. I thought I remember hearing way back when that Slant Six was going to do an online public beta for Socom: Confrontation, but I could be wrong.

Beta's and demo's are totally different. If you have a demo for an online only game, the developer would probably have to place a whole load of restrictions on it (thinking time limit, only one map, certain rooms, unranked (obviously), closed servers for demo people only, etc...).

Demos for online games are possible and they have been made before.
Anyone heard of BF2: MC?
It had a demo of one online map.
