Yeah, I really love the classic socom lobby system. MGS sort of used it too.
Rainbow Six Vegas has got to have the WORST matchmaking I have ever seen. I'd give it a 1/10 if I was reviewing it. You can't list all of the games, you can't search for "any" game type, it doesn't give you a list of the games matching your search criteria (it just puts you in one, and that game could have like no people, people speaking different languages, etc), you can't join a specific game unless you receive an invitation for that game, you can't hop into a game a friend of yours is playing unless they send you an invite, etc etc etc. I have no idea how they messed it up that badly, they have such a great game but the online implementation is horrid.

Hence the fact that 360's version of RSV is better.

Either way, I don't think any game can make a better lobby system. I think it's virtually flawless. I can't think of one instance in which I have had a problem (which wasn't caused by lag or glitchers, etc.) with what Sony and Zipper have done.

You ain't kiddin'. I was so pumped to play that game the single player is great but the online system for finding games is brutal. I hope slant six keeps that the same. I can't wait to see bodies flying in the air with the rag doll graphics.

What I'm looking forward to....
I'm looking forward to seeing the next-gen graphics for the new Socom. I hope they get the environments more detailed (for the players that like to hide). CROSSROADS!! and the other new maps, and the possibility of downloadable content. I also hope it plays better then the past Socoms, in terms of lag. Hope the new developers get this Socom right, and not have the minor flaws of past Socoms. I can't wait!!

"What's got you most excited" hmm what do I think I will enjoy most about socom, well since socom 2 I have had my dreams crashed with the last two installments so I guess im excited for a let down? ha I know it sounds bad but maybe "Slant Six" will suprise me who knows hope so and as for the game I am enjoying the fact that they are adding the gore factor because the game should be M for Mature and not L for lets try to please the the little kids who buy they game and might find blood nasty I mean really that wasn't necessary also the small maps "excite" me because who enjoys running around in "Killing Fields" big with 7 people honestly it's like finding a "needle in a hay stack". I can't wait to play "Crossroads" in HD and hopefully getting the good feeling I did when I played it on Socom 2.
