New Recruit Requirements

SHO has an age requirement of 18 years old. We have made exceptions in the past to this requirement, but that was because we had come across an exceptional player who was mature beyond his years. We do not allow children into the clan nor do we allow childish adults. We expect you to visit the main site and forums a minimum of 2-3 times per week and play socom a MINIMUM of once a week.

So, new applicants must...

1. Submit an application from the main site.
2. Post in the "new applicants" thread their intentions.


The Probationary Period

After you have been accepted as a recruit, you are strongly encouraged to play on-line with us as much as you can and participate on the clan message boards (on Shadow Ops press the "Forums" link).

Shadow Operations relies highly on its website and forums to discuss tactics, rosters for matches, gaming in general, and for socializing.

Recruits will be judged on the following criteria:

- Activity Level (In game and in the forums)
- Maturity and Personality
- Communication Skills
- Sportsmanship

As a recruit, it is up to you, to introduce yourself to all Shadow Operations clan members as a new recruit so that we all may get to know and play with you. Out of game communication with clan members is also strongly encouraged (via our Briefing Rooms, E-mail, or Instant Messaging).

Shadow Ops is a family, and as such, we only accept members who "fit" well within our fraternity. Of the above attributes, Communication (both in and out of game), Maturity and Personality are very critical components of a successful applicant.

Being involved in Shadow Ops is a commitment; under no circumstances can you be involved in another clan. When you agree to these terms you are committing to the Shadow Operations clan and our clan only.

No, not at all. We only accept new recruits when we think they will fit in, but sometimes we are wrong or your situation changes and you aren't as active as you though you would be, etc. New Recruits have the exact same privalages as clan members as well (i.e matches, tournaments, leagues, etc).

Not at all, Come sign up on our site give us a try. We just need to see if you fit, we dont have a hard recruiting process. We are mainly looking for active socom players.
