ROTA (APC) is Recruiting Mature Socom Players. Visit our forums at Riders Of The Apocalypse

Primarily ROTA, Riders of The Apocalypse (APC), is a Sony Playstation Online SOCOM Clan. We play other PS2 Online games such as Tiger Woods and Madden. So we have a hard time remembering which button does what half the time.

ROTA was founded September 1, 2005 with the purpose of creating a place for mature gamers to play without having to endure constant/extreme obscenity, profanity, glitching and complaining typically found in public rooms. We are Good Ole Boys having a Good Ole Time. Not that we wouldn’t welcome a woman with a nice Potpourri and Lace avatar to go in our forums.

We grew to appx 80 fine members over a 7 month period. Not bad for 7 months.
Since that time ROTA merged with another clan and assummed their name and Clan Tags.
That merge no longer exisit now.
ROTA is rebourn and off to a new and bright future. Keeping the same philosophy that made us what we were, what we are, and what we always will be.

Casual game play and camaraderie is what we endeavor to provide. Your skill level is not a prerequisite to becoming a member. Most of us are very experienced and you can learn from us without the hazards of playing in the public rooms. If you are more experienced you can expect a challenging battle every round where there is never a ringer for the MVP.

All we ask is that you respect other members, have fun and adhere to the Code of Conduct. We are serious about having fun and that is why we stand by our COC. We're Down Home, Good People but we're not Redneck and we're pretty sure the only reason we are related to our Aunt is because she is married to our Uncle.

Presently we are not accepting members under the age of 25. The only exception to this is, once you are a member in good standing and have friends and family under 25 that wish to join then they may apply. We understand that there are a lot of mature people under the age of 25 but we didn't pull the number out of mid-air, we drew it out of a hat. So once your insurance premiums go down shout us a holler.

ROTA is a top notch clan without all of the fussing you hear in public rooms. There is no pressure to be great. They take players of all walks and enjoy a stress free game room.
I highly recommend them.

Best bunch of guys you'll find in a Clan...it was the people that kept me coming back.

We mostly play ranked rooms (except for our rule-altering fun-night every few weeks), but it's not about rank. It's about fun and honorable play. Here's a great example: If one side is doing well (up 4-0 in a best-of-9, clearly dominating), then sometimes spontaneously they'll switch to handguns for a few rounds to see if the other side can mount a comeback. The games almost always end up being close, hard-fought battles with lots of laughs and cameraderie. Just a plain-old good time.

There's no other guys I'd rather play online with.

Tonight is Socom 2 night for ROTA. We have fun nights every so often where we have
several game rule changes that have become a trademark of ROTA.

Just to name a few:
Dodgeball.
D. Cheney quail hunt.
Last man standing.

Toc92 is co-leader has been in charge of this area and has done a great job of coming up
with the various modes of play.
