need help on mission 8 on the lt. jr. grade difficulty

i have been stuck there for years now and i want to beat uit but i cant because i keep dying. can some one tell me what i am doing wrong?

also the part i keep dying at is when i get to the part when u have to get to the caves. i dont know which way to go because i keep on dying while going both ways. (this is after u have the pows and u have to clear the caves)

Which mission is that again? I havent played socom 1 for almost 2 years, but I'll try to help.

Ok, I remember now, but like I said before I havent played in a long time so some of this will be ripped from the socom 1 guidebook.

Once you have the POWs, go along the fence of the area where they were being held, and follow the mountain wall down to the ground. Go towards the entrance that is close to one of the huts. Leave the POWs in the hut close to the entrance, once you've cleared the area. Continue on to the cave entrance. I used to just send in a few nades to make sure nobody was right at the front of the entrance, and sometimes a few would come because they heard the explosions. When you get inside the caves, just follow it down til you get into the area where theres water on the floor (I think) and theres 2 small cove-like things on the left. If you have 203s then fire one up into one of them and rush the second one. Or you can send bravo up to clear the both of them. Also, watch for snipers in the towers around the base, and the extract point is located on tha map. I usually found 1 or 2 terrs there, so go up first and make sure its clear before taking the POWs up.

i usually die when i am on my way to the caves. i die from the 2 terrorists that come down from the etract point. or from the people that come runing right at u.

hm....Try giving bravo a sniper and an m60 or m63, then send them ahead when you are going from the camp to the caves. Also, when you put the POWs in the hut, if you think you and boomer can clear the caves on your own then leave bravo with the POWs.

could u tell me what primary and secondary weapons i should use? i am clueless on what to use.

You: M4A1-M203
Sidearm: any pistol
203 frag rounds
203 HE rounds
2x ammo

Boomer: SR-25 (sd or not doesnt matter)
Sidearm: any pistol
Frag nades
2x ammo
Smoke or Flashbangs

Specter: M60e3
Sidearm: any
frag nades
flashbangs
2x ammo

Jester: M4A1-M203
Sidearm: any
203 frag rounds
203 HE rounds
2x ammo

Always give the entire team 2x ammo if you can, I find it useful because I dont like to pick up a dead terr's weapon and use that. Also, a silenced sidearm usually comes in handy if you want to be stealthy for a part of the mission.

EDIT: If you want you can substitute the M4A1-m203 for the M16-M203, both work good.

Give everyone m16's and you yourself use an sr-25 sd. Snipe anyone coming down in front of you and make shure to give your team fire at will. As for the pows, have jester escort them. It's simple, just keep using nades around corners and pick up an enemy ak once you get to the caves.
