Who still plays Socom 1 (online)?

I tried to play the game a while back, I couldn't log on. I heard the servers for SOCOM I were shut down. Yet, people still play the game. I wonder.

No no no, Socom for us purists, is by far the best. Socom 1 is more "navy seal" like while Socom II is more "Unreal Tournament" like. Because of the health meter issue, people die so much quicker. I find that most of the people who played socom 2 and put down socom 1 all the time and refused to go on it, now are the ones who praise socom 3 constantly and put down s2 all the time.

Also i've realised that many of the people left playing s2 play socom 1 every once in a blue moon

i still play socom 1. im Emo_PiSSeD. and socom 1 is better than 2

I would play it more often if the company that moved my stuff hadn't lost it along with S3 and my "Fat" PS2. I have a new PS2 and S3 but I still havent replaced S1.
