so, umm, couldn't they just have a warning or banning system going with it as well? I mean it would probably be a lot better to work on instead of just dropping the entire chat room just because of "some inappropriate topics".
have people already tried getting it back? I mean, there still may be a chance of it happening.
haha... yes. I had an IRC channel going for a bit, but it kinda died down when I got busy with school. You're a bit late to this tea party, my friend. I do enjoy the newly energized spirit around though... there's always a possibility of that again if enough interest is shown. But the way it usually goes is an initial abundance of enthusiasm... but then it dies down.
If I had a place I could host my own I'd do it up in a jiffy. But to provide a chat and not have it hosted anywhere locally while still making it easily accessible remains a tricky endeavor -- especially without the support of the man behind the curtains.
But anyways, now my only problem is that one of the only reasons the chat room that omega was talking about was dropped was because of "inappropriate topics" like I said before, can't the admins just put in a banning or warning system to those that don't follow rules?
That would require someone being in there at all times and watching everything that gets posted. We don't have a great enough manpower here for that to happen.
